Amazing tool for videos and time lapse shots!
This gimbal is incredible and the app is a perfect complement to the hardware. I’m loving the AI features and gesture controls. Time lapse capabilities are next level and for the money this gimbal has few real contenders in terms of on the go functionality. The built in tripod is a game changer in terms of portability and its compact size is small enough to fit in my pocket. The battery life seems to be pretty good, but if you plug your phone in with it, don’t expect it to last very long. I’ve been using the gimbal with the DJI wireless mics connected to my phone and it works great. I chose the Flow Pro specifically for the 360 degree capability as well as the magnetic phone mount and built in tripod and I’m so impressed with how often I find myself using the gimbal. My previous gimbals always required tricky clamps and separate tripod feet that made them a bear to take with me on trips and hikes. With the Flow 2 Pro, it goes together with a quick click of the magnets and flip the arm over to start shooting. The app automatically detects the gimbal and immediately starts up the camera with a single tap. The mount is very sturdy on my Peak Design case and the mounting plate adds negligible bulk to my phone, allowing me to keep it installed and in my pocket between shoots. If I ever break or lose this gimbal, you can be sure that I’ll be picking up another Insta360 Flow Pro without hesitation, it’s that good. If you enjoy shooting video or Timelapse with gimbals, you owe it to yourself to try out a Flow 2 Pro, you might just find yourself reaching for it before your other tools or gimbals because of how easy it is to use and how compact it is to carry, I know I do.

Absolutely love the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro!
I recently got the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro and it has completely exceeded my expectations. The built-in Apple DockKit native tracking is a game changer — no extra accessories needed, and it locks onto the subject seamlessly for smooth, reliable tracking. The 360° horizontal follow ensures there are no blind spots, which makes filming super dynamic and professional-looking.I also love the thoughtful design. The integrated selfie stick, tripod, and mirror make it incredibly versatile and portable — no need to carry extra gear. The AI-powered tracking really does capture every moment effortlessly, whether I’m walking, recording sports, or vlogging. The free-tilt shooting gives me so much creative freedom with camera angles, and the pro-grade 3-axis stabilization keeps everything silky smooth, even when I’m on the move.Overall, it’s a perfect companion for content creators or anyone who just wants stable, cinematic footage without hassle. Highly recommended!

Compact, Smart, and Fun to Use!
The design is super compact, even smaller than I expected, and there’s a tripod and selfie stick built in, which make it perfect for both stable shots and taking pictures.Connecting is also ridiculously easy. Literally just a tap and it’s paired, I can start shooting straight from the native camera app.I’ve been using the tracking mode for vlogs and it’s awesome, I can walk and talk naturally and it just keeps me in frame the whole time. Zero stress about angles or asking someone else to hold the camera.Since I love taking pictures and capturing little bits of scenery in daily life, the stabilization really makes a difference. There’re also tons of modes in the Insta360 app, it can make casual clips look like they came out from a movie!Overall, it’s compact, smart, and super fun to use!

Good but can be better
Packaging and Unboxing:The initial presentation of the Insta360 Flow was positive. It arrived in a compact, premium-feeling box. Inside, the device was neatly folded alongside the necessary accessories like the charging cable and protective pouch. The packaging is minimalist and effective, hinting at a well-designed product within. The Grey color of the unit looks sleek and professional. First Impressions and Setup:Unfolding the Flow is quite intuitive, showcasing its clever integrated features. Attaching the phone using the magnetic clamp is genuinely quick and convenient – a definite plus for usability. The setup requires the Insta360 app, which connected via Bluetooth easily. Initial calibration and getting the basic controls to work were straightforward, allowing me to start shooting relatively quickly. However, the deeper complexities and practical workflow issues only emerged with extended use. Key Features and Performance (Revised):Stabilization: The fundamental 3-axis stabilization performs quite well. It effectively smooths out motion from walking and panning, delivering steady footage that is a clear improvement over unstabilized phone video. On this core function, it largely meets expectations.AI Tracking (DeepTrack 3.0): This is where the promise unfortunately fell short in practical application. While the concept of DeepTrack 3.0 is exciting, I found its performance in real-world shooting to be unreliable. It struggled to consistently maintain lock on subjects, sometimes losing track unexpectedly or failing to reacquire them promptly. This significantly disrupts the filming process and requires constant manual intervention, undermining the "AI-powered" ease-of-use claim.Returning to Base Position: A major workflow frustration is the lack of an intuitive way to quickly return the gimbal to a neutral or centered base position. Instead of a simple double-tap or physical reset, it often requires fiddling with button combinations. This wastes precious time between shots or when trying to reset for a new angle, making spontaneous filming awkward and interruptive.Built-in Selfie Stick & Tripod: The integrated design, combining the gimbal with an extendable selfie stick and foldable tripod legs, remains a strong point. This versatility reduces the need to carry extra gear and is genuinely useful for different shooting scenarios like group shots or stable low-light recording (when in tripod mode). Battery Life: The battery life held up reasonably well, providing ample power for extended shooting sessions without needing frequent recharges, generally aligning with the stated capabilities.Insta360 App: The companion app is feature-rich, offering various modes and editing options. While comprehensive, the sheer number of options and sometimes complex navigation can add to the overall learning curve and doesn't fully compensate for the hardware's performance issues.Portability and Folding Design: The Flow's ability to fold down compactly makes it very portable. It's easy to carry around, which is a significant advantage if you're on the go. Build Quality and Design:The physical build quality of the Insta360 Flow feels solid and durable. The Grey finish looks good and feels comfortable in hand. The folding mechanisms feel robust, and the magnetic phone clamp is secure. Physically, the design is well-executed in terms of materials and form factor. However, the functional design of the controls, particularly regarding resetting the gimbal's position, feels less intuitive and negatively impacts the user experience.Pros:Effective 3-axis stabilization for smooth video.Convenient all-in-one design with integrated selfie stick and tripod. Secure and easy-to-use magnetic phone mount.Good battery life.Highly portable thanks to its folding design.Solid physical build quality and appealing Grey finish.Cons:Unreliable AI tracking (DeepTrack 3.0) in real-world use. Fails to consistently track subjects, requiring manual correction.Difficult and time-consuming process to return the gimbal to a neutral/base position, requiring awkward button presses.Workflow is interrupted by tracking failures and control issues.Learning curve for app features and sometimes unintuitive hardware controls. The integrated tripod is quite low.Value for Money:While the Insta360 Flow offers some compelling features like the integrated design and basic stabilization, the significant issues with the core AI tracking functionality and the cumbersome process for resetting the gimbal position detract significantly from its overall value. Given the price point, the performance of these key features is disappointing and limits its effectiveness as a truly smart and efficient tool for creators relying on tracking. Its value proposition is diminished by these practical shortcomings. Conclusion:The Insta360 Flow in Grey presents a promising package with excellent physical design, good basic stabilization, and useful integrated features like the selfie stick and tripod. However, my experience indicates that the performance of its headline feature – the AI tracking – is unreliable in practice. Coupled with the frustrating difficulty in quickly resetting the gimbal's position, these issues significantly impact the user workflow and overall effectiveness of the device as a smart stabilizer. While it can still function as a basic stabilizer with added versatility from its integrated design, those purchasing it primarily for seamless AI tracking or effortless control might find themselves disappointed. It's a product with great potential in its design, but the practical execution of some key smart features needs improvement.
