Excellent Mexican style sauce. I was previously a fan of Valentina extra hot, just because it was the spiciest readily available mex style sauce that could be had cheaply for dumping all over tasty food. Cholula extra hot tastes roughly the same, but is hotter than Valentina extra hot.For those wondering about the heat level, it’s not as hot as el yucateco, but significantly hotter than regular cholula. Also noticeably hotter than Valentina extra hot, as well as regular Tabasco.Not as hot as Tabasco habenero. To my taste, it’s approximately as hot, when used like most people use salsa, as eating a very hot jalapeño or a regular Serrano raw.It’s my new go to mex style sauce for burritos, tacos, and many other things when I really want to pour it on. For everything else, el yucateco or Malinda’s habenero still reigns supreme delivering both flavor and heat. Although Malinda’s ghost pepper sauce has quickly started replacing the regular habenero. Malinda’s Belizian Heat is probably my all time favorite for flavor and perfect heat level to use in high quantities without uncomfortable levels of pain, but it’s hard to find around here.If your on the fence about cholulas extra hot thinking it’s not hot enough to justify the order over regular, think again, they really did make a significant change to the heat level without changing the familiar cholula flavor.Likewise if your unsure if it’s gonna be too hot for you, don’t worry, it’s not a face burner, but if your the type that worries about a regular pepper sauce being too spicy, than you will likely find this sauce a welcome and enjoyable challenge to your tastebuds without the pain associated with the next level of sauces that come after this.

Great sauce. Hot, but with a nice, slow burn that makes the back of your neck sweat, and clears the sinuses without frying your taste buds. One of the hallmarks of Cholula sauces is that the underlying flavor is always more important than the heat. This sauce doesn't disappoint. It delivers great flavor first, and then a nice finishing kick of good heat. It's become my new "go to" sauce at work, and I find myself looking for things to put it on. Don't let the "extra hot" scare you off. It's extra hot for Cholula, but in the world of hot sauces, it's about an average heat.

The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love Cholula products. The original is fantastic but the extra hot is where it’s at. It’s hot enough to give it plenty of kick, but without losing that cholula flavor. 100% repeat purchase.

Nice one to add to the hot sauce collection. Chalula rules. They focus on flavor and it’s great for savory foods. On the “spicier” side but definitely not overwhelming.. for me at least. I have a buddy that never uses hot sauce and he found this one to be a bit much, yet still dogged the flavor.

My son is in the Navy and is currently deployed. He and the other sailors request this along with some other non-perishable items to help spice up their food! Price is Right. The size is wonderful. The taste is amazing. We use this in our house as well

This has the great Cholula taste you're used to but with heat. Not mild heat... hot heat. Now, it's not ghost pepper hot but it's pretty dang hot. Think tobasco hot.

Good stuff. It has the same great flavor of regular cholula, just a little warmer.
