Hair Dye Shampoo 3-in-1, Natural Blonde Semi-Permanent Gray Hair Coverage, Color Depositing Shampoo for Women & Men, Vegan, Ammonia-Free

The color is not what it is pictured the final color turns reddish or copper but is a cute color if you like. I wanted the color is pictured do the shampoo didn’t work for me but still is a good product but only if a reddish color is expected.

I am a bottle blonde and have been going to the salon monthly since 2008 keeping up with my color. I spend an average of $85-$120 a MONTH on my hair. It's a bill, y'all! Three months ago, I decided to stop coloring and just "see" what would happen. Naturally my dark roots and gray roots came in and for a while, I could handle it using the little spray on root color. But I don't feel like those ever match, anyway...I saw this color shampoo and decided I would try it. I was terrified it would screw up my color, but you know what? It's great! I am a level 9 blonde with some darker tones and of course, the gray- and this covered it all and blended it perfectly. I'm really impressed that without ammonia it lightened up the dark and still hid the grays. I'm going to keep this on my list and order frequently; it was quick and easy. I do own a hair color brush, and I applied it to my roots first and let it process about 5 minutes before pulling it through the rest of my hair. (Which is longer than waist length.) I'm pretty sure I will get at least 2 uses per bottle- which makes this incredibly affordable. I would recommend getting close to your current hair color and it should also work for you! I uploaded 4 pics- 2 are before showing my roots, and 2 are after in different lighting. UPDATE: 2nd use. My color lasted a full 4 weeks. At that point I really noticed my dark coming back in, and a little gray too. This time I only did my roots. I have a little bowl and brush like my hairdresser has, off-loaded some of the product into the bowl and touched up around my hairline with the brush. I did not pull it through to my ends, just applied it to my scalp. This also gave me an impressive result. I think it will also be better for my ends not to apply color to them. Again, I'm really impressed and still have enough left for a third application.

Application is unique. I thought this was going to be a color depositing shampoo. It’s 2 bottles in one, with the shampoo and dye being mixed only after you pump. I think that’s pretty cool. Also unlike color depositing shampoo, you do have to leave it on for about 30 minutes for the color to develop, instead of using it in the shower to refresh your color. I was a bit panicked when I saw the dye has orange in it considering I got this to maintain an ash blond/light brown, but the final result doesn’t have any red tones at all, thankfully. I did follow up with a blonde toning conditioner, just to be safe, though. The box also included a little cape, shower cap, ear caps, and gloves, which is cool considering most kits only give you gloves. So far, it hasn’t stained my skin or counters but I also wiped those surfaces ASAP. Smell is fine, not good or bad. It’s a large quantity, so hopefully this lasts me a while.

I bought Ash Blonde to tone down some red highlights in my light/medium brown hair. I was very concerned that the shampoo and hair color mixed into an orange color, but went through with the process. I left it on about 40 minutes to cover grays, which it did well. My hair color is now a light brown with red, which is baffling, since ash is supposed to NOT contain red. I hope they reformulate the color to remove the red in it. I actually like the color it is now, and am getting used to it. Just be aware it has red in it. It's not a true ash blonde.

This hair dye DOES work and colored my hair as directed on the box. However, this shampoo is just as messy and smelly as regular hair dye. The only difference was there is no mixing involved. Other than that, it’s a regular hair dye. It actually left my hair with that smell that I didn’t care for when I was using it. I had to use another hair product after I dried my hair to mask the smell. My mom also used this product and told me she left it on for the 15-30mins as instructed but it wasn’t long enough. She keeps it on an hour. I left mine for 45mins and it seemed fine. My hair did seem to be very dry once I dried it completely but my regular hair dye dries out my hair as well so no difference there. Not sure if the dryness was due to the 45mins I left it in or if this is just the product effect. Again, this product seems to color my hair in the same way box dye does and just as messy and actually smells worse than regular hair dye. Even my husband commented on how bad it smelled.

I LOVE this hair color! I am 64 years old with super resistant gray hair. I used to go to the salon every month and spend $100 or more. Not now! This product works so well and never any damage to my hair. I would recommend this for anyone that wants their hair to look full and manageable. It's wonderful!

So surprised with the outcome! I was skeptical because of the runny consistency and orange hue. I ordered the ash blonde, left it on for 30 minutes, and came out the other side with a perfectly matched hair color. The grays are now highlights. I’m so impressed!
