I had a laceration injury on the side of my hand just above the thumb, and the urgent care used an ace bandage to hold the dressing in place. This worked fine for a day while resting, but at work it moved around and wasn't working for me.Saw this support and ordered it and it worked perfectly to hold the dressing in place and as a bonus to help the swelling. There was 2 in the pack, which meant that when one got dirty I could change over to the other one while I washed the first one and let it dry . I washed it with a nail brush and some soft soap and it came up like new and dried perfectly.I had no allergic reaction to it, and no irritation. Its not particularly supportive, but it's perfect to hold a dressing in place and protect it from dirt and water.

I originally read this as a soft brace itself- which it is not. It is not supportive or bracing in the least. But as a liner, it's perfect! It helps a GREAT deal when wearing an unlined brace, which most of mine are. Ah, the relief from that pinching velcro closure! You get two, and I have lost one, but I use the heck out of that one and I am probably going to buy more. Be warned that the flesh tone color stains/dirties easily and does not wash out as I hoped it would. So don't cut tomatoes with this on alone, it will stain. (That sounds like a "d'uh!" thing but this liner is so comfy I forget I have it on or just get too lazy to take it off. It has a nice feel!) Also, I have no idea how it is waterproof- I'd say it is not. I'm not sure what that claim even means in conjunction with this. I mean, if you get it wet, it's wet. But never mind that, it does everything else super well, is very comfortable, and makes life better if you wear a brace. Amen.

I wish the fabric was firmer. Not really true compression but otherwise helps alot with my pain and keeping my thumb in line while allowing my hands to breathe. Has been very helpful with using the computer mouse without pain.

Unfortunately, I can't give this 0 stars. I don't know why they bother asking you to measure yourself. I couldn't even get them over 3 fingers - much less my whole hand, and since these are a 1-piece item, that's the only way to get them on. Even if I could have gotten it on, I imagine that my thumb would have REALLY hurt by the time I finally got it in the right position. Don't waste your time. Get an adjustable brace.

Unfortunately the material seam at wrist comes apart after daily use of only a few weeks.Have been hand washing daily in warm water and air drying but all edges are fraying.Medium a bit long in the thumb so fits a bit tight at knuckle.Overall good wrist joint support with minimal compression.Thin design allows for work or winter gloves to be worn over.Not many options out there just wish it held up better.

Arrived quickly and fits perfectly. I will order this item again in the future.

Size small is too large for a woman with small or slender hands. The material is thin and loose. It does not adequately support and compress the thumb joint.

i got this after a surgery that didn't go so well. i have worn 4 other braces including a custom made one by my occupational therapist. it is super lightweight but it keeps my thumb from hanging out feeling vulnerable. my occupational therapist is so taken by it he wrote the name down to recommend to other patients. i normally wear xsmall and this is snug on me. i would suggest maybe sizing up unless you're really on the smaller side of a small. there are 2 braces in a pack. i simply can't say enough about this little brace. i will be in ot for a full 6 months righting the wrong but i love this unobtrusive brace. i truly don't even feel it and most people don't even see it. wonderful little helper.
