How much direct sunlight do they need

So far I have only had them under fluorescent light and twice I have taken them out into the sun. I assume they only require partial sun. My plants are doing great. I made paper pots to start mine in. I need to transplant them to a bigger pot but they are growing well. I don't think they are very picky about the light. I live in Arkansas.

What kind of dirt do you recommend i replant these in? i received them about 2 weeks ago in the hotest time of the year in fl and they were beautiful.

Glad they arrived beautifully!  If you are planting in a pot, use the largest container you have room for and use the highest quality potting soil available.  The plants will pull all of their nutrients from that soil.

If you are planting in the ground, add compost and mix it with the native soil thoroughly.  The tree collards will be there a long time, so give them nutritious soil.  (Prepare the soil as you would for any leafy vegetables such as spinach or lettuce or kale)  Tree Collards do like to be fertilized with oyster shell powder for Calcium.  We recommend only using natural (organic) fertilizers so that you don't attract insects to eat leaves that tend to grow too quickly on chemical fertilizers.

Question 3

Greetings - can you eat the leafs uncooked, make a salad with them?  Can you eat too much?

Some people do eat them raw. We prefer them cooked. Like anything, over time if you were eating it in really large amounts for a long time it may start to lead to dietary imbalances. But it would take some serious work to eat that much. Most people in the US would probably benefit from including significantly more greens in their diet than they do currently.

Question 4

I live in Oregon in a zone 8a hardiness zone. Will they survive here?

They seem to survive well down to the low twenties, possibly lower. If your winters dip into the teens you may want to consider keeping a plant in a pot that you can bring indoors or protect in a slightly more sheltered area.  Zone 8a can supposedly get to 10 or 15 degrees. Depending on your micro climate you may be in a warmer or colder location... so plan accordingly. Some years they may survive fine and then you might get a year where it's very cold and a lot of your plants get frosted out.
