Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM Panther - 984-001220 - (Renewed)

This is now my 4th Megaboom in 4 years. I've only had one that I had issues with it not charging after having it for a while and when I contacted UE they replaced it for me. My other 3 where grey and blue and I picked up this one cause I needed one in my garage and it matched my dewalt tools! So far so good... sounds just as great as my others and it just as rugged. I decided to go with the first gen, cause honestly I didn't hear great things about the second gen, except the charging location is easier to get to. Other then that, I personally think the first gen is better. For anyone looking to travel with these, I can tell you they are the best. That was the specific reason I bought my first two was for traveling and they are just small enough to slip into my Tumi Water Bottle holders and I've had them everywhere from the beach to Pools, etc.... Never an issue and the sounds quality is so good. I'd highly recommend this speaker if you are looking for something that is water proof and durable. And I wouldn't stay away cause of the negative reviews about it not charging after a year of use. As I said, I only have that happen to one of them and they replaced it with zero issues. Its totally worth it.

I’ve had this speaker for 6 months now, and I’ve loved it since day 1. Sound is far better than anything I’ve had, and the battery life is fantastic. Perfect to bring on trips! Decided to write this review specifically because of the events that unfoleded in my day. This speaker is indestructible. Not only did it fall from the top of a 15 foot deck onto a driveway, but it was also unknowingly backed over by a Ram SuperDuty. Sound was unaffected at all, the only damage is slightly cosmetic as the top plastic cover popped off and bent the charging port slightly. But it was nothing that 5 seconds of effort couldn’t fix. Extremely, extremely, extremely pleased with this speaker. God bless UE

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SPEAKER! THE FEW THINGS I LIKE MOST ABOUT THIS PRODUCT IS THE BATTERY LIFE, AND THE FACT THAT IT CHARGES UP SO QUICKLY! ITS WATERPROOF ALSO, WHICH IS GREAT! THE MEGABOOM SPEAKER HAS AMAZING BASS QUALITY; I'D COMPARE TO THAT OF THE NEWEST BOSE SPEAKER THAT IS OUT. THE ONE THING I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT IS THE PRICE. BUT WE BOUGHT IT REFURBISHED WHICH I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. IT STILL WORKS AS IF IT WERE NEW, BUT FOR HALF OF THE PRICE!

I really like the way it covers in a 310 degree arc. The bass is great and the mids as well but the high end is ok (squishy is the best way I can describe it). I love the megaboom app - it just works. I use an android phone. I have gotten a less than what it is Batt % - this has happened once so far, (really it was 95% charged but it reported 30% within a 10 minute window of listening). I knew it was a false reported level. I kept listening for 2 hours or more and turned it off. The next time I turned it on it reported the correct level of battery. I have listened for probably a total of 15 hours and it is still going on it's first charge. Over all, I am thrilled with this!

When it works it works great. Took it to my job and a major flaw presented itself. in lower temperatures the battery dies very quickly. As in 5 hours instead of 20 hours. other wise sound was great and pairs quickly to all my device, can be synced to use alexa and when paired with the companion app really offers a lot. but the loss of battery in cold temperatures is annoying and disappointing. wish it was a bit louder. sound is not 360 degrees as stated, but speaker does an effective job covering a pretty large area with sufficient sound. bass was not heavy, but it was good enough as I did not felt I was missing out.

This is without a doubt the best Bluetooth speaker I have ever heard. I am so glad I bought this speaker. It has amazing sound. The clarity and the bass is outstanding and the battery life is awesome. If you want a Bluetooth speaker that will blow your mind this is the one to get hands down. Well worth the money. 👍👍

I bought this after agonizing over the best choice after days, maybe weeks of reading reviews and comparisons. But let's cut to the chase. I wanted it for playing music at a somewhat load volume while I'm in the pool. I used it a couple of times outside the pool area and thought it was incredible. They're not kidding about the bass. Then I took it to the pool and floated around on a raft listing to this incredible speaker. The it happened. A short song with some pretty hefty bass finally made this speaker distort. I thought, well, anything will distort on THAT song. But it didn't stop distorting. The next song had a run of the mill base line and the distortion continued. It continued to distort on the next song. I decided that I don't have the time or inclination to experiment further with this. I can't have a speaker that does that, even if it doesn't do it all the time. I put it back in the box and sent it back. I'm saving for a Bose.

The seller was fine - sent it on time and speaker was as advertised. I knew it was refurbished. So those are not the issues. It’s the Mega Boom speakers in general I don’t like. Faaarrr over-rated and over-priced. Firstly, when up against my Boze Colorlink, there is a negligible - if any - distinction in sound quality. Next, you can only adjust the volume from the speaker itself (the Boze volume works with whatever device [phone or tablet or whatever] it is hooked up to). Also, when my phone is hooked up to the speaker and I get a phone call, the music stops and the conversation goes thru the speaker (my Boze just lowers the music and conversation remains between you and the phone). Lastly, the speaker randomly cuts off and on from Bluetooth. I had that same experience with a brand new Mega Boom, so it has nothing to do with the fact that this one is refurbished. In a showdown, I would go with the Boze. The Boze has comparable sound quality, is less expensive, less annoying and more dependable.

Excelente bocina para su tamaño, calidad de materiales, sonido nítido y bien definido, bajos respetables para su tamaño.

Muy buena compra... La bocina funciona de lujo... Tenia mis dudas al ser REACONDICIONADA, pero la compare con una de linea y honestamente solo la caja cambio..! Recomiendo la compra excelente precio!!!

Llega al 15% de batería y el sonido se detiene la conecto a su cargador la luz indicadora de carga durante está encendida, después de 3 horas no cargando sigue en 15 % y sin sonido, entiendo que el título dice bocina reacondicionada pero todo parece indicar que no fue reacondicionada, voy a regresarla para cambio o devolución de mi dinero
