This product is AMAZING and absolutely everything I was looking for and hoped it would be!It dissolves easily, great value for my money, and it helps me keep my energy levels up during my fasting window. the taste is not that bad, but to be expected bc it is flavorless. I love these salts! I fasted without salts one day and woke up in the middle of the night with the biggest muscle cramp. I would recommend these for someone who wants to become successful in their fast and wants to maintain electrolyte balance.

I do prolonged water-fasting (3 day, 5 day and 14 day fasts at various times of the year) and monitor both my blood glucose and my ketones during the fasts to make sure they're working. Hydration is key, both to staying energetic and feeling good during the fast, and to remaining healthy during the really extended ones. Hydration means more than just drinking a gallon of water a day (that's how much I need to stay in ketosis); it also means keeping up the electrolyte levels with continuous salt intake throughout the fast. Specifically, I follow the W.H.O. guidelines for hydration salts, and try to ensure that I get an adequate supply every single fast day of: sodium chloride, potassium chloride and other critical minerals, such as zinc and magnesium. I also make sure to break my fast gently and carefully with bone broth, to provide phosphorus and calcium.Most electrolyte blends cannot be used during fasting, even if they are zero calories. The sweeteners used in them, and the sweet flavoring agents, trigger a dump of insulin from your pancreas and kick you out of ketosis. I can track it happening with my monitors! You can't access your stored energy if insulin is blocking you from converting your fat into ketones for fuel, and so using the typical electrolyte powder blends out there on the market means that the fast will feel terrible and drain your energy, plus potentially dropping muscle mass when your body tries to find some other source of fuel because it can't access the fat reserves. Sweeteners, even the zero calorie kind, are absolutely the enemy of fasting.I have had to blend my own electrolyte powder mix for years to provide fasting salts that had no flavorings. So imagine my delight when I saw this product! It has no flavorings, no preservatives, and most importantly of all, no sweeteners, not even the calorie free types!All that is in this mix is sodium chloride, potassium chloride and magnesium malate. That's it! It is totally safe to use in even the longest prolonged fasts, and the only other electrolyte that I need to take now is a zinc supplement. This mix comes as a powder (some of which is so fine that it will drift up in little clouds of dust and it dissolves very rapidly in cool water; some is more similar to table salt granules and needs a bit of stirring to get it fully dissolved). They include a tiny little scoop in the canister and the instructions refer to that scoop, which is very convenient!The canister comes well labeled and well sealed, with a shrink wrap cover and a foil tamper-evident seal on the interior under the screw-top lid. It contains 100 servings, but, it's recommended to use a serving with 16 fluid ounces of water 3 times a day, so really this container holds enough for a month-ish of fast days. Very easy to use.The distributor, in Utah, provides their address and email, as well as their website and a QR code, on the label. I will absolutely be recommending this electrolyte option to my other friends who do prolonged fasting!

The product arrived safely and nicely packed in a small tub. It was super easy to dissolve and mix in a shaker with cold water. I usually have it during my morning exercise, but it’s also great for on-the-go travel. It doesn’t have any sweetener, so it’s great for keeping me hydrated. I’ll definitely buy it again!

Easy to mix into my water

I know it's very important to stay hydrated during fasting for health reasons. I was really excited to find these fasting salts, to keep my electrolyte levels even while I'm fasting. The salts taste great, and they mixed into my water bottle very easily. It was easy to measure the right amount of salt for my water. I can see myself using these fasting salts again in the future, when I'm ready to try 7 Day fast.
