Are these like the milk chocolate wafers in the purple pouch?

I don't know about tge milk chocolate. I buy the dark chocolate barista chips....best chocolate for mochas!

Sorry, I don't know about the 11.5 oz blue bag, but I can tell you this: This bag is 5 lbs (80 oz) and contains 500 chips = .16 oz each. Volume wise, they are not the tiny chips (used to decorate cupcakes) nor are they the jumbo chips. They're slightly larger than the typical chip that's most commonly used. They're a very good deal compared to buying bags from the store. It's best to order them now before summer temps. I hope this helps.

Great quality.

I wouldn’t use this on its own. However, it is excellent for mixing with a 60% chocolate to give it a richer taste.

Yummy!

I used this chocolate for years when I make Christmas toffee. A couple years ago Sam’s club stopped carrying it and brought in their own brand. Sam’s club brand tasted like wax.This Ghirardelli chocolate is the only brand I use now. Why spend hours making homemade candy to coat in wax? Ghirardelli tastes great and has an amazing flavor.These chocolate wafers are easy to melt and dip candy in. After cooling, the chocolate stays formed and looks as good as it tastes.This is my favorite chocolate for candy.

Better maybe, cheaper, yes

A few yrs ago I had blind taste testing of Ghiradelli vs. Pascha unsweetened. No clear winner, but the Pascha came in chips, Ghiradelli in wafers and Pascha a bit cheaper. I liked the chips because I often used them in my yogurt or granola. The Ghiradelli are now a big cheaper and Pascha no longer seems to offer chips. The wafers are a bit large for baking and cereal, but have a good flavor and 100% chocolate and cacao products. No palm oil or other oils.

Chocolate chips arrived in perfect shape.

When they arrived and I could hear the chips rattling in the box, knew they were ok. In summer one hopes chocolate doesn’t melt enroute! They were fine.
