YES, it is made of the DURABLE PP, and the steel weeder is anti-rust, lightweight aluminum handle, a pair of stainless steel tines and 65Mn steel needles.

How does this compare in strength and durability to the Fiskars Stand-up Weeder?

Same procedure. Find the root, stomp down to grab the root and bend to the side to pull up the root.

Will it work on weeds in rock or only grass?

It won't work in rocks because the claws need to go down in the ground. I bought three of them. The cheep one was hard to put together and did not work very well. The ones over fifty dollars are so great. I love them and do not have to be put together

Just cover the top of the weed, step on the foot platform to push the stainless steel claws into the ground. 2. Push handle to side using the leverage of the footpad and the claws close to grab hold of the weed down to its roots. 3. Continue to push to side and weed is removed from ground, permanently removing the weed from your yard. 4. The easy-eject mechanism clears the head between uses for quick and easy clean up.
