The battery worked fine of my Toshiba. But then it stopped working just like the OEM battery. The problem was not with the battery, but with the laptop. To this day, it just remains plugged into the way wasting electricity. Not the battery fault, just the cheap poorly made laptop is the issue.

Battery holds charge for a week. Easy to install. Works wonderfully in my Dell. Great replacement, without paying out the nose. Works for me.

I came back to this page looking for a new battery for a user laptop. I just replaced it on Wednesday and the user has the same problem mentioned in this other review. Keith Barrett's Review - "it fits into the laptop as expected, works fine if it is not charging. BUT if you plug the laptop into the docking station, or hook up the charger, it will randomly throughout the day get a battery failure and put the laptop into hybernation and you have to boot back into windows. you can be right in the middle of typing an email and suddenly the computer will shut down" This is the exact issue I had with my user at work. I will be buying something else as I had it in the server room for over a year before I used it anyway. Even though this appears to be more than I stored it too long. I have a few batteries I purchase in multiples to have on hand and I have never had this type of issue with any other laptop battery I have purchased on Amazon. Don't waste your time or money.

First, it snapped into my e7440 just fine, no problems with fit. It does power up and it runs the laptop for a while and seems to work just fine as a battery. However, now my laptop shuts down while sleeping / hibernating. It'll sleep for an hour or so, and then I will look at it and it will have turned itself off, so whatever I may have been doing before it went to sleep is gone. With my previous battery, I could shut the lid, put it in the backpack, pull it out 2 days later and wake it up right where it was. Not with this battery. Nothing else changed. I do occasionally get errors when the laptop is on the docking station that the battery is not working / not charging, but take it off of the station, plug it in, and it works fine. I don't know. I just needed a battery, and the genuine Dell that I ordered from Dell won't be here for another 6 weeks, so I got this one to run with while I wait. I need my laptop to be portable and need it now, so yeah, it works, it just doesn't work well with sleep / hibernate. Looking forward to the genuine Dell battery to get here. Editing my review: Suddenly (after a week of use), sleep mode is working. Laptop stayed asleep all night last night and woke up fine after taking out of my backpack. Perhaps something doesn't make good contact sometimes - I was messing with the old dead battery and taking this one in and out. So I have changed my review from 2 to 4 stars. It's working. For now, but I don't trust it, hence minus 1 star.

Thku, thku, it fit and works great. Holds a long charge. Just as good as OEM battery.

My battery on a laptop went and I barely used this laptop. I knew I needed to to updates but battery kept putting me I to hibernation mode. Dell wanted to charge me 199.99 for extended warranty and 39.00 for them to just see what's wrong with my battery plus give me a refurbished one shall I needed one as well send this laptop in the mail. I decided to take a chance and order a battery here with the MY51K battery. I was nervous but it fit like a charm and worked. Very grateful. Only thing I regret is not ordering 2 just in case so I shall be ordering a second one. This saved me a lot of money.

My original battery was simply done. It's nice to have a quality battery again where I can "Unplug" for more than 15 minutes. In fact, it's been a couple of weeks now with regular use and the life has been over three hours before I plug back in and it's about 35% when I do. I don't like to drop it down too far as my own preference so as not to stress the battery or the computer charging system. So in a pinch I know I can last for half a business day, full on. One added note is that I tend to operate my laptop with the screen brightness reduced to about 80% to extend the battery life.
