Exactly as described. Better than expected.

Just like the other guy said, the holes were not sized properly! Not only that they weren’t even the same size. This is a very low quality die.

Fortunately I have a mill, the holes were badly tapered and undersize.

Definitely not the highest quality standards but it will work if you keep tweaking. The horseshoe is garbage. It needed to be pressed as when it arrived the holes didn’t line up good enough to put a pin in. After working with it for almost good long time I was able to get some reference points and bent tubing to make a race car bumper. It doesn’t fit perfectly but will work with the ecoteric bender.

Works as it should

We purchased a W**dward tubing bender. Our budget did not allow much beyond the bending tool and a 2 inch tubing die set. We intended to purchase other sized dies, but the prices are pretty stiff. maXspeedingrods is a name that I am getting very familiar with. I have suspension kits by them that provide a great bang for the buck. But you will excuse me if I had my doubts about a tubing die set that is one third the price of the original company’s set. On first inspection, the kit looked good. The pieces were a perfect fit on our bender. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any 1.5 inch tubing in the shop. I told my son to let me know when he used it. Fast forward almost two months. It turns out the bender is at a friend’s shop. They are doing a cage for a street sleeper. From what I can tell, it hasn’t had any issues and my son’s friend is not even aware that is not an original company piece. To be fully functional, we need more dies, but the 2 inch and this 1.5 inch is a great leap forward. I think that 1.75 may be the next step for us and I thank maXspeedingrods for making that economically feasible. Fit and functionality wise, this 1.5 die set is a great match. Durability shouldn’t be a concern, my son would have moaned loudly if the pieces wore prematurely.

This seems to be a decent round tube bender die. It arrived in a small, relatively heavy, generic box. The contents within were very well protected using expandable phone that form fits to the contents. The tube bender itself requires assembly. Once together, it looks and functions appropriately. The welds appear penetrative and sufficient for its use. Overall, I am happy with it.

This bending die set works exactly as intended. Matching on the face for both The dye and the follower looks superb. Welds look better than I expected as well. The die set fits my bender with little slop or side play moticed. Zero complaints and perfect bends every time (well, as good as I can manage as a back-yard fabricator).
