Loved the handheld grater! So easy to use and clean! The grated Parmesan cheese comes out so thin than it literally melts immediately on the pasta! Everyone at our party wants one! I think I’ll get them done for stocking stuffers this Christmas! It feels so fancy!

This is a well-made grater for parmesan. It grates the cheese in little paper-thin slices rather than straws, which is pretty cool and allows the cheese to breath and get great flavor. I do wish they would include some trigger mechanism to hold it closed better. It comes apart for easy cleaning and storage.

I own a Sabatier knife, and I know it's high-quality. So a Sabatier cheese grater? This purchase was a no-brainer. It was also a mistake. Apart from the grater cylinder, most of the tool is made of plastic. The first thing to go was a "chrome" insert that covered a screw. That popped off on the first day. When I squeeze the grater tightly, it pops open and the grater cylinder falls out. I threw away a perfectly good, but antique, Mouli grater so I could buy this piece of garbage. If I could turn back time, I'd tell my husband that no, we are NOT getting rid of that old Mouli grater.

I guess I expected it to shred the cheese but it comes out like thin paper pieces. Haven't used it much

But parmigiano reggiano is a bit too hard for this. If you get one, watch the edges of the blades, SHARP! When I use it to shave cheese for salad, it does twist in my hand, so it takes a bit of extra care to keep the motion smooth.

Well made product. It’s perfect. Please note that this makes small paper thin slices but doesn’t grate like the ones at the restaurants do.

It doesn't really grate as much as it shaves tiny pieces. That is until it stops working. You have to push the top down with your thumb and it's really awkward. Eventually it wasn't strong enough to push through the cheese and it broke in my hand. I wouldn't say the worst product I have ever purchased but it is in the top 10 for sure.

En la tercera vez que lo usé para rayar queso suave, se rompió, más bien se descuadró. No me sirvió.

It does what it is advertised to do, but I find the construction (except for the actual shredder) too plastic-ee. Works well enough both for left handed or right handed people. Time will tell if the plastic holds up.

Me agrada que esté cerrado de un lado para que no se salga todo el queso, lo malo es que, cuando trate de rallar queso manchego no pude y aparte el queso no queda finito, más bien quedan como “obleas”. La verdad no me gustó mucho el producto

While the grating drum is stainless steel the body is plastic. It is hard to get any good pressure on the handle as it flexes as you try to grate. I was concerned that the handle would break while grating parmesan cheese. I ended up buying the Browne grater which is all stainless steel construction.
