Primal Spirit Meatless Jerky Strip Thai Peanut 28 g (Pack of 24)

Ordered some, and quickly realised I wouldn't be at the delivery address I'd ordered too (work vs home), and tried to cancel to re-order however they declined the request, so I had to wait to actually pick up my jerky. Not the biggest issue, but considering it was the same day I tried to cancel I don't see why they had an issue.Once I got the jerky, I assumed I would get 12 strips as the answer to the question 'Are they in strips or cut up pieces?' under 'Customer questions & answers'. Normally two strips in a packet.' so I thought I would get 12 instead of 6, which actually isn't a problem.Once I got round to trying the jerky, it looked relatively the part, not awful packaging however it would be a bit more professional if it came in a 'Primal Spirit' box but that's just me being picky. However, I tried the jerky and I'm not sure if it's the flavour however I experienced 'Mild & Sweetish', instead of 'Hot & Spicy'.The texture seemed ok though, so i may order some of a different flavour as it could just be 'Hot & Spicy' which are poor.

These make a nice change from eating fruit or nuts as a snack and the fact they are high protein is great! The texture is chewy and really unusual for a veggie meat alternative, i really like it. The only reason i'm giving the product four stars is because it is SO SWEET. Evaporated cane juice is high on the list of ingredients so i guess i should have expected it really. Worth a try and nice for a change but i don't think i'll be buying them again.

I have ordered according to item presentation a bag of 6 mixed flavours hoping that I would enjoy one of them and make it my regular gym snack. However, I have received 18 of identical items. I have seen the same product sold as 6x same flavour on separate auctions so it has not occurred to me it would not not be a mix. I would return this item but I have neither that option nor I can't contact seller. I have spent £43 on an item I didn't want, that was misleadingly presented and that I am unable to return

These are so good but I prefer the hickory bbq to the texas if I recall correctly. Can't eat too many at a time because there's a strange aftertaste and the fibrous texture starts reminding me more of cardboard than meat. Great for an occasional snack but incredibly moreish. Easy to polish several off in a day but that would get expensive.

The texture is like meat but the Texas bbq flavour is sickly sweet yet savoury and not in a good way.I have a sweet tooth and I hoped these would be similar to sweet baby rays sauce but it’s really sweet but savoury like nothing I’ve tasted before and it definitely is not like any bbq sauce I’ve ever experienced. It’s quite synthetic and just not pleasant at all.Giving it two stars because the texture resembles meat but the strange sauce makes it inedible for me sadly.

It tastes... ok. Not the best teriyaki flavour I've had, but it's bearable, although it has al almost fishy undertaste. But texture wise I was expecting something far more substantial, in line with something like kings veggie jerky. This stuff has that vague fibrous quality similar to meat but feels almost like a dense cotton candy. It needs more chew and toughness imo, as it stands it's less of a jerky and more of a vaguely meat-like snack thing

A very different meat substitute from those we're used to, but it does taste quite yummy. I have it with my soup for lunch or in a sandwich. Looses a start for not really being 'hot and spicy' as described as it barely delivers a tingle, but otherwise recommended. Note: There is a rather noticeable liquorice taste, so I would avoid if that not you're thing.

Having turned to Vegetarianism back in 1985 when I was just 14 years old, I had gotten used to the lack of interesting snack products that catered to me. I discovered Primal Spirit about 2 years ago quite by chance and ordered a few bars of their Meatless BBQ Jerky Strips. After one, I was hooked. They are so delicious. Best served slightly chilled I find. They are handy for me when I am at work on the go and I have an item I can run to and not have to prep.Long story short, Primal have some of the best tasting Vegetarian snack products on the market - highly recommended!
