Not necessarily a carry-on replacement (for me)
I like the concept of a combined Carry-On and Backpack, but I would not expect this Hivexagon 18 to replace either for one of my usual trips. Perhaps it may suffice for a single overnight. When I travel, I typically use a carry-on for luggage and my backpack for computer, electronics, headphones, etc.The build of the carry-on does feel well made, and the wheels and handlebar work as one would expect (more on this below). But was it a good idea to attempt to create a back-pack / carry-on combination? This device has the same limitations as any other rolling suitcase. The bars (for rolling) limit the internal space which makes packing awkward. While I like that they used this bar space and mimicked other carry-on luggage with a zippered compartment for shoes, I find this compartment in ALL luggage a space reducer. Because some compartments are designed for computer storage it also limits how to pack as I wouldn’t want to place something hard next to the computer that could possibly damage it.Since this is also meant to be a backpack, and comes with the necessary straps, I think the manufacturer could have killed the wheels all-together and perhaps made this luggage more functional and closer to their intent of a piece of luggage that acts as two pieces of carry-on.While it may not be for me, I can see others using this luggage for overnight trips, just understand what you are getting before you make your purchase.

Awesome!
This rolling backpack is great! You can either wear it on your back or you can roll it. Has plenty of room and the handle goes up and down. Very very handy... Love it!
