This speaker is awesome. Expensive for a Bluetooth speaker? Yes. Worth it? Yes, yes, yes!If you’re comparing the sound quality to an upper level Bose or equivalent Bluetooth speaker then you may be a little disappointed. These speakers aren’t water proof and incredibly durable like the Demerbox is though. The treble leaves some to be desired but that is characteristic of water proof rubber speakers. This isn’t a dealbreaker at all though. While it isn’t the clearest speaker in the world, it makes up for it with punchy bass and solid mids, not to mention it can get super loud. I had a Big Jambox and it gets louder than the big jambox could. When the speaker is turned all the way up it doesn’t crackle at all. The sound is perfect all the way up. We used it on a boat while tubing and were able to jam out to good tunes even with the 150hp Mercury revved all the way up.The added feature of a Bluetooth charging port is absolutely clutch. We easily can jam out all day with the super long battery life and then have the phone charging at the same time inside the speaker while maintaining waterproof status with the plug installed. I threw the speaker in the water with my phone in it and it didn’t leak a drop and sounded cool reverberating on the water.My favorite part beside the killer battery life which will easily last you a week or more on a single charge depending on how many times you charge your phone, is the ease of use. This speaker has 1 button. You turn it on and it links up with your phone instantly. You can control the volume completely from your phone and don’t have to worry about turning your phone up and then dealing with another volume on the speaker too. Literally just turn it on and start jamming. Nothing to it.One last feature I love is the long range Bluetooth. I was jamming in the backyard, went inside to do some stuff and had my phone in my pocket and my friends said it never lost connection at all. I haven’t gone to the point where it disconnected yet.Overall, you have to decide what you’re going to use the speaker for. I am on the water and outdoors all the time, fishing, wake boarding, bbqing, etc and this is perfect for that all weather rig. If you plan to use your speaker inside and don’t plan to move it then id say go get a bose. If durability and practicality aren’t a need then get a bose. If you want to jam out with all your buddies and get sweet sound quality in literally any situation you find yourself in and plan to ever listen to your tunes near water or outside.... get the Demerbox. It’s the only speaker I use now and I have a few other ones. Super sound and solid construction (I break everything) make this the one for me. You won’t be disappointed.

This product is the best blue tooth speaker I have ever taken on the river. The sound quality is amazing and you can make the box water proof. Easy to connect to. Battery life is 12 hours!!!! I can even charge my phone off it while playing music. I have not been this excited about an Amazon package in a while. I visited a small town in West GA recently where all of the shops had these incredible sounding and super cool speakers playing. I asked one of the owners and he began to sing the praises about Demerbox. I went home and immediately ordered my own. The quickest way to get it was off Amazon. I opened the box and had it paired to my phone in under a minute. The sound is as incredible as I remember, the ruggedness is great (my Bose isn’t designed for how I use it outdoors) and I love the fact that it can be waterproof with the plug which is perfect for the beach or pool. 40 hour battery life is amazing! AND it can act as a phone charger??? Easy decision. Not cheap. If you want cheap keep looking.

I gave this speaker 4 stars because 4.25 was not an option.Pros...Super durable Pelican case that matches the rest of your gear.WaterproofCool AFUSB outlet to charge other devicesCons...The sound is just OK, limited tone and base. Think Alexa like sound.It only charges on a 120v outlet. Why? It should have a USB C but does not,A 3.5mm male to male audio in plug is included. Again, why? I am an old Gen Xer and this looks like something from the 1970s or 1980s.I am not going to call the price a con, these are hand made right, right here in the USA and that makes however cool it might be 100x cooler.Many reviews mentioned exemplary customer service and that makes me happy although I hope I never need it.

I bought this as a driver for a company, my work vehicle does not have a stereo, or any way to listen to music, all my co-workers told me to get a portable speaker, I like the best I can afford, so bought this, I’ve had pelican cases before, they are legendary for their indestructible nature, so naturally a speaker based on one, top notch! When I received it, it didn’t seem to want to produce sound, so after contacting DB Directly, I had a RMA, and a week after a fully functional speaker for work, and it’s loud enough I usually keep it at around 50% volume in an otherwise loud environment as is…5/5 is all I can give but in truth 10/5! Strong recommendation if your looking for a solid, well-built speaker for the outdoors!

Sent it back because it did not have the bass sound that I was expecting.It was plenty loud enough but I got better sound out of one that I paid $60.00 for.

This is an awesome product! The sound quality is great, especially with the bass port open. The batter life is insane - I used it all day at the beach on 4th of July and all day a week later at a pool party...floating around in the pool playing music. Since it's a Pelican case, it's extremely sturdy.Things to be aware of: the lid is heavy, so in order to be able to float with the speakers out of the water, you have to put something heavy inside of it. I used a brick lol. The battery lasts forever, but there is no way of knowing when it might die. It just happens.Other than that, enjoy this rugged Bluetooth speaker. Everyone that sees it will ask you about it!
