Spear & Jackson SJ1790BP10 Spare Replacement Pack of 10 Blades for ref. SJ1790 2-in-1 Trimming Knife and Scraper (Set of 10 Individual Blades)

Bought this knife as I liked the fact you can change it into a scraper, and it works great for that. The quality is decent, the transition between blade position is smooth and quick, and it locks/opens with ease. I took the belt clip off the back because it sticks out quite a bit, unnecessarily making the knife much thicker. Much better feel to the knife without the clip and has reduced the width quite a bit. I didn't realise the knife doesn't take regular blades due to the scraper transition needing a way to hold the blade in place. Thankfully the knife comes with a blade ready to go, two blades in the blade storage bit, and a pack of 10 extra blades. Blade change is quick and easy, plus the knife look good. Overall I would reccomend it and it is worth the price, we will see in time if it's capable of replacing the milwaukee fast back.

Good quality knife it did the job I wanted to do. I do like the way the alter different positions for a certain job. I did fantastic good bought some extra blades so it will last me a bit longer.

Not bad arrived quite quickly to UK address and is of descent quality for the price with a little bit of good thought gone into it to. Comes with 2 spare blades in handle already, as well as one already in the jaws. A separate pack of 10 proprietary blades come with it to. The opening hinge one the main part can lock in 3 positions in the normal orientation of blade, not in scraper mode, giving great urgonomics considering its squarish shape. The tilting part to make it a front scraper works well to and locks it farely well, not rock solid, but ok. I added some plastic and rubber shims here and ther to make it really lock in tight when you need and absolutely straight cut with no blade wobble or play in hinges, so it can be customised to suite, just don't over tighten the small philips screws as they will strip and the main silver pivot screws, only one of them loosens, the one on the left, looking from the top, can not turn as it is keyed inside to not turn. Handle is a metal and a kind of hard composite which feels quite strong. I personally would of liked a slimed down all aluminium version of this style and with torx screws and that has tighter locking so "zero" blade wobble in real life, not just in CAD and at all the major locking points to have no play because when using as a scraper if the blade tilts one way, evan a few thousandths, it can really gouge your workpiece with the corner, so kind of essential to not move in all modes but more important in scraper mode but this is nice and cheap and can be made solid and the blades are sharp and hold edge quite well actually and believe spear and jackson do a non swivel version that is more slimmed down. If you do dismantle then watch for the 2 spacer washers that only go on one side of the blade holding bit as one peg is slightly longer than the other.

Quality box cutter and scraper it's a good tool if you need that sort of thing

How did I manage without this in my tool box before !! A great little trimming / scrapping knife for any DIY jobs, folds up nicely for safety and fits in any pocket or work belt 10/10 from me.

Better than any other brand scraper/knife. It will be repeatable if something goes wrong as it all held up by screws. As Printer and decorator I highly recommend this item. I think I found new brand to go to for my equipment.

Feels solid and quality made. Can even open in one hand. It can lock at 45/90 degree angles as well as out straight. The scraper worked perfect.
