In the product description this roller is described as light/medium density and can be used on lower back. To me this “foam roller” feels like a pool noodle and deforms instantly upon use giving me no relief.Update - the CEO went way above and beyond to ensure I was happy. I bought this for a week-long national curling championship to keep the area around my IT band from getting too tight. It is very lightweight (but strong) and a great size to tuck into luggage or gym bag. 4" digs deeper than my full-size 6" diameter roller. I used it at least 5 times. It did the job at a great price. The only reason for 4 stars is that the quality is not for frequent use. Just the nature of the foam (like the texture of styrofoam). I can see bits peeling if used often over time. But this kind of foam makes it light for travel which it is excellent for. Definitely recommend it for travel.

Ok I purchased this to help with my neck pain. I find that lying on this with it horizontally behind my neck has helped me much more than the more common 6" diameter foam rollers that you see more commonly at gyms. The curve of my neck fits much more naturally and comfortably.I lie on this daily with my legs extended up against a wall. Anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes depending on my schedule.I find this a much better solution than going to a chiropractor and getting "adjusted". It is also very firm which I wanted as well.

How did I function before this? I love this so much and I use it for my neck, back and legs. Especially after sitting down at the computer to do work, I HAVE to use it or else I am in too much pain. I even have an inversion table to help my back (which also helps) but this little tube targets places the inversion table cannot. It's small size makes it easy to travel with and I love it so much because I feel immediate relief after using it. It's pretty durable so I probably won't buy another one unless I lose it or want to gift it to family and friends.

I bought this for a trip to Japan that started a couple weeks after I finished my physical therapy sessions for an injured achilles tendon. I knew Japan was very walking-intensive, so I feared for the health of my legs and tendon. I foam rolled at home all the time to help with that, so I bought this one to bring with me on the trip.It was the true MVP of my entire trip.The end of each day in Japan found me sore and aching in the legs, but no matter how tired I was, I set aside time to foam roll my legs and back. I never woke up sore after that, I always woke up ready to begin a new day of walking. I was so afraid of reinjuring myself on such an intense trip, but thanks to this little foam roller, I powered through without any significant pain.It fit perfectly inside my roller carry-on. Some folks might think it takes up too much room (I'd say it took up a 1/10 of the length), but for something this important, I was willing to sacrifice that space.Am definitely going to travel with this always!

Works great. When I first saw it, I wasn't excited about the indented logo in the middle of the roller. However I don't actually notice the indentation when using the roller, so I'm okay with it now. I like the fact that this roller fits easily in my suitcase or backpack.I like switching between this roller and my standard larger roller because it feels like they work the muscles differently. The combination relieves more muscle tension than either one alone.

Foam rolling I hate it but I love it cause it works! Anyone that's ever done an intense HITT for the first time in a while or the 3-4 one this week needs NEEDS a foam roller in there life. Honestly, your muscles will thank you for it and you will most likely wake up without feeling like you can't squat to the bathroom. You'll be loose as a noodle and feeling great. If you are new to the foam rolling a basic straight surface one is the way to go and one this size is a plus. You won't regret getting your hands on one of these.

Good foam roller, one gripe is they etched the company name on the surface and it is uncomfortable when that part rolls over your bare skin. I wrote them and told them to etch it onto the ends in the future.
