Incredible Precision, Speed, and Versatility – Worth Every Penny!
I couldn’t be more impressed with the LONGER Ray5 5W Laser Engraver. As someone who works on both hobby and professional engraving projects, this machine exceeded all my expectations. The engraving precision is phenomenal—down to 0.01mm accuracy with a laser spot size of just 0.08mm. My designs come out crisp and detailed, even on challenging materials like stainless steel and acrylic.Setup was a breeze thanks to the clear instructions and included tools. Within an hour, I was already working on my first project. The large 400x400mm work area gives me plenty of room for creativity, and I love the flexibility of working offline using the TF card or Wi-Fi. I’ve been using it with LightBurn and the integration is seamless.Another standout feature is the safety—emergency stop, motion detection, and even goggles are included. It’s clear the company put thought into both performance and user protection.Whether you’re cutting wood or engraving glass, this machine handles it all beautifully. I would absolutely recommend the Ray5 to anyone serious about laser engraving or cutting. It’s reliable, powerful, and backed by excellent support. A solid 5-star product!

Great Product for the price! Great Service on top of that!
I've had the Longer Laser Engraver now for about five months. I use LightBurn software with it, which took some getting used to. But once that was figured out, the engraver was extremely fun to make items with and I have been using it for making items to sell through my business. Product is certainly quality even when comparing to other top brands. I would recommend a cover as it will smoke up any room you are in.Around four months in, the engraver started acting up where the Y-Axis was not working properly. I was able to reach out directly to Longer, who talked me through the steps to solve the issue. It ultimately was the wire to the X- and Y-axes, to which they shipped a new wire. That was fairly easy to replace and I'm back up and running thanks to quick and knowledgeable customer service!

Powerful, Precise, and User-Friendly – Great for DIY and Small Business Projects!
I am so excited to share this exciting opportunity. I’ve been using the LONGER Ray5 5W for a few weeks now and I’m really impressed. The setup was easier than I expected- everything you need is in the box, and the instructions are clear. I love that it has a touch screen and works offline, so I don’t always need to be connected to a computer. It’s surprisingly precise. The engravings come out super clean and detailed, even on smaller designs. I’ve tried it on wood, acrylic, and metal so far, and it’s handled each one like a champ. The large work area is great too – I don’t feel limited on space. The machine is quick, and I like that it connects in a bunch of different ways – USB, Wi-Fi, even from a phone app. It also works with the engraving software I already use, like LightBurn. One of the things I appreciate most is the safety features. It has emergency stop options, overheating detection, and even came with safety goggles. As someone who works with this in a home workshop, that gives me a lot of peace of mind.Overall, it’s a solid machine that does exactly what it promises. Great for hobbyists, makers, or even small business use. Highly recommend!

JUNK!
So many problems right out of the box:1. Can't attach the control module because the left mounting screw collides inside the frame with a screw to hold the frame together. Had to come up with a 1/4" spacer for that screw. Absolutely no way this problem would not be apparent for anyone assembling this unit.2. The attach method for the belts is extremely "mickey mouse".3. There are no travel end stops on the X axis, even though the screw holes are there. But it wouldn't matter. The Laser head hits the microswitch on the Left about 1 1/2" before it would reach the limit screw. Nothing to stop it on the Right...no stop and no switch.4. There ARE limit stops on the Y axis, and the front one you have to install during assembly (it's just a screw). But I don't know why. Again, the moving parts hit the microswitch about 1 1/2" before the stops screw, AND...the Laser head hits the front frame at the same time that the microswitch is hit.5. Powering up, the controller sees the Wi-Fi with a strong signal. But it won't connect, returns no error, just goes back to the starting point. ALL of the usual possible reasons for this were tested, and nothing fixed it.SO....about 2 hours of tedious assembly will be followed with similar amount of time to send this junk back.

Happy Customer Now
Buyer Beware, got the 10 watt Longer laser for a Christmas present from my wife. Within a week I started having issues with the damn thing starting and booting up. It progressively got worse and I filed a warranty claim with Longer. Several emails later and a recording of the startup issues I was having and I got a strange email from Longer tech support stating:[email protected], Jan 30, 4:40 AMto meDear sir/madamHello, thank you for your reply. After the goods are shipped, I will contact you actively. I wish you a happy life. Nothing has happened since this email. The laser finally died completely so I took the controller off and opened it up. The start/stop switch is in pieces. I just sent an email back to longer asking for a return and refund. We'll see what happens...An update to my review. Longer sent a replacement controller which I installed. The laser is working great now. If I hadn't had to jump through hoops to prove there was a problem, I would give them a higher rating. The laser works well now, but dealing with the customer support was a pain.
