Hypafix® Transparent Film Dressing Roll - Waterproof (2" X 11 yd roll)

This is literally my holy Grail wound care tape. This tape saved me when I was going through wound care so I could shower. It is the most waterproof medical tape I've ever tried. I was able to wrap my wounds in saran wrap and tape down the edges and not a single drop of water got through to my wounds. I could not recommend this more. I used it for 8 months while healing and this was the only product that worked!

The sales rep gave a misleading description of this product. I called to ask about the texture of the tape. He described it as thinner than scotch tape. This is incorrect. I ordered anyway because I need this product. The paper and plastic seal application is what he may have misunderstood. When applying, remove the paper strip and leave the plastic to guide application, then pull the plastic side off. This tape is perfect. It’s as thin as a few layers of skin. Ty

Not the easiest dressing to apply but stays in place protecting the area well

I'm using the tape to hold a pad of gauze over a dermatology wound. The tape is so transparent it practically disappears. To remove the tape, I wet it with alcohol, then brush/push it up with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it is an excellent product.After another two weeks of use, everything is still great. I don't have any problems with skin irritation or wounds from the tape pulling skin.I've mastered the art of application. Peel off the backing on half of the sticky side and apply. Fold the tape in half and push the red border which allows the other half of the sticky backing to come loose. Flatten the tape down and pull the red border towards the other side of the stuck tape. That peels the backing off the top of the tape. I'd assume that the backing on the top side of the tape is just to give it some stiffness while putting the very thin tape in place.

Excellent product, but the instructions for application were confusing. FInally got some direction from a Youtube which was very rushed and unclear as well. Took me several tries to figure it out. Good luck!

Adheres well but the useable area is somewhat clumsy (the adhesive, peel-back portion)

Perfect Bandages. Great for after surgical procedure to keep area protected and clean.
