Not sure what the name means .. but it’s a good hat for the money

It is a nice hat. The fit is accurate.

I have a fairly large head, so I was pleased to see that this fits my head comfortably, not too tight, not too loose, and plenty of room for adjustment with a cloth tab in back. I do wish there were a loop to hold the tab against the body of the back of the cap, or to tuck it in, but there's not - this is the only design flaw I see. The cloth is thick and feels like a durable canvas. The color is standard military olive. The shape is more square and shallow than a standard ball cap, which is a look and style I enjoy. Looks great, and protects my eyes from the sun, so it accomplishes what it needs to!

The hat comes pressed and in a very small zip lock type bag. The material feels cheap and the bag causes creases that don't come out. There is a seam right down the front rather than the back and the seam isn't even close to centered. These hats are trash and not at all like shown.

I like the style and the fit. The only thing I did not like it was very lightweight so it did not hold up. It shaped too well.

I really like this Cadet flat top cap. It is lightweight, made of 100% polyester, and it is very comfortable to wear. It is available in just one size, which I knew was too large for me. But I knew there is a buckle in the back that adjusts the size. After tightening the buckle, the hat fits me very well. The only issue, a minor one, is that the excess length of strap, from tightening the buckle, has nothing to hold it. I sewed a small stitch to hold it in place.The hat is made in China. I remember seeing pictures of hats like this but with a 5-pointed red star in the front worn by army recruits. I saw a flat top cadet cap with a red star on the website called TheCheStore, named after the Cuban guerilla fighter Che Guevara, even though Che himself is always pictured wearing a beret. Many armies (US, China, UK and perhaps others) issue a cadet flat top cap, though, ironically, the beret has become more popular for military people wearing dress uniforms in public.
