Work perfect and the price was right.

I have tried several brands of R20 LED bulbs to begin to replace all of the R20 45Watt 2700k incandescent bulbs that I have in my house. The existing incandescent bulbs have become very difficult to purchase and tend to fail quickly. These new LED bulbs are the only bulbs that "fill the bill". They are only 6.5 watt and they are 2700k...so far so good. The brightness and color are almost identical and they dim flawlessly and there is no perceptible flicker. I like the frosted surface which softens and diffuses the light very well The attached photograph shows that the first 3 bulbs in the ceiling of the small hallway are the LED bulbs. The bulbs in the backround are CFL bulbs. The bulbs in the ceiling to the right of the hallway are 45 watt incandescent bulbs and the floor lamps are 10 watt halogen. They are very well matched and I am very pleased with my purchase.

I have dimmable can lights I had installed right above my kitchen sink, as the original lights in the center of the ceiling in my wide galley kitchen were always behind me, so I cast a shadow over the kitchen sink at night (the window in front of my sink is wonderful when it's daylight). Because there were soffits across the top of the cabinets on that side of the kitchen, it was a perfect place for my contractor to place two small can lights for task lighting; however, after several years, one of the two bulbs was failing. The bright white (which I bought) were cheaper for some reason than the soft white, and because I didn't know what the existing bulbs' light was considered, I just went with the bright white. I SHOULD have gone with the soft white, but it's not a big deal to me. I just dim the lights slightly anyway to reduce the glare, and once the older bulb fails and I replace that, both bulbs will be the same. So far, I recommend.

at normal brightness, they work identically to incandescent bulbs. however, when dimmed, they retain that bright white color; they do get less bright, however they do not capture the warm orange glow. so, if using in rooms without a dimmer switch, they're entirely appropriate. if using in rooms where you would like the option for a more moody lighting - these may not be the most ideal option.
