DIY Battery replacement
Ok, so my Nexus 6P had that shut down issues and could not keep a charge for longer than 5 hours. After reading other feedback from sellers I decided on this one. Taking the phone apart was doable but took some time. Do yourself a favor and get the glass that covers the camera as I tried with a hair dryer and after 5 mins of heating it up, I cracked the glass. It is just not worth it for 8 bucks to get a new glass or damage the camera with the heat. Bottom part was easy enough to remove without cracking. Watch the video. Old battery was really glued to the phone but you will need a little patience to get it out. The kit was useful and only 7 tiny screws was needed to removed to replace the battery. Battery now last easily 2 days with normal use. No more shut down issues.

Excellent function, imperfect fit. Better than spending $900 on a new phone!
I have been using this battery for two days now and so far, so good. Opening the phone and replacing the battery was a bit of a project, but I was able to do it with the help of YouTube and the tools provided were more than what was needed. The AccuBattery app informed me that the actual capacity of my old battery was approximately 2100mAh. The capacity of this one is approximately 4000mAh. The advertised capacity of both was 3450mAh.My old battery was dying quickly and shutting off when the phone indicated 34%, this one is holding strong throughout the day and not dying prematurely. My only minor complaint is that the battery and cable did not fit perfectly inside the phone; the dimensions of this battery were slightly smaller than the OEM one, and the ribbon cable did not sit in exactly the right place when laying flat. This has not appeared to have any impact on functionality.I would like to report back after having used this for a longer period of time, but at this point I am very happy. A much better investment than a $900 new phone!

works, no temperature sensor
Installed the battery in my 6p a few days ago. Accubattery estimates greater than spec capacity. :)But the temperature only reports at 25C, apparently the battery has no temperature sensor. :(

Tips for Nexus 6p DIY Install
For the Nexus 6p, the included tools are very helpful (esp. the suction cup). Here are a few tips based on my experience:- Watch at least two YouTube videos to get a thorough understanding of the process. If you just watch one, you might miss some key techniques/warnings. Search "spz9S5aIiJg" for the vid that I relied on most.- I used a hairdryer instead of a precision heat gun to loosen the glue for the back camera glass and bottom panel. A folded towel works well to keep the heat focused on the right spot. I needed about a minute of heat to make glass hot to the touch and glue workable.- The included tools are great, but you will almost certainly need a razor blade or similar thin utility blade to get started on the back glass and bottom panel. Once started, you can switch over to the plastic pieces.- Go slow on the camera glass and don't pry up too much in the ends to avoid breaking. I didn't have any problems getting mine off in one piece.- As some videos show, a playing card and a hotel key (or similar) are also helpful tools along the way, like when you are working the battery free from the glue or separating the back from the phone.- As mentioned above, the suction cup was a key tool. I found it very useful for removing both the battery and while separating the phone back from the screen/motherboard. By putting the cup on the screen and pulling the phone apart from the edges of the body, a gap appears to show you where to starting inserting your plastic tools. Without this step, it's possible to insert your tool between the screen and the motherboard, which is not desirable.- The battery is aggressively glued in. Again go slow and reference some of the techniques in the videos. A couple of key tips here are to use your suction cup on the battery to apply upward force as you work plastic pieces through the glue underneath, and use care not to dig into the ribbon cable under the battery. The cable is fairly easy to avoid once you get a feel for its location on the videos. My change process took about 40 min after watching the videos. If you are patient and methodical, it's really not a terrible process. I was glad that I didn't take it to a shop.

Grossly inadequate tools - Ridiculous to even attempt this repair with the "tools" provided.
Impossible to perform the battery replacement with the tools provided. "Amazon's Choice" - really Amazon?! You'll need to buy an Exacto knife at the very least. The cheap plastic dull tools provided with this kit will NOT allow you to even perform the first step to disassemble your Nexus 6P. You have to remove two panels (one of them GLASS) that are glued on, and the seam is very tight. The cheap plastic tools provided will not even begin to fit in this seam. It is ridiculous. The battery itself could be just fine. I won't know because I can't open the phone with these POS tools. I would equate the experience with attempting to shuck an oyster with a slice of carrot. Good luck!

Died after 2 months
I received and installed this battery into my Nexus 6P on September 4, 2018. On November 24th it died without notice. Battery indicator went from 45% to 0% in 30 seconds and there was no reviving the phone after that. I bought another, no name, OEM knock-off (Google Nexus 6P Battery, LCLEBM 3600mAh Li-Polymer Built-in Battery HB416683ECW Replacement for Huawei Google Nexus 6P H1511 H1512 with Repair Tool Kit), while I wait for a new phone to arrive, as I am tired of doing open heart surgery on my phone to replace batteries. Hopefully, it lasts a week.Net, net, don't expect much from this battery.

Installation Issue
I've had this battery replacement only for a week or so. All went okay with the actual battery replacement, except after the install, both my finger print scanner and Bluetooth don't work (won't pair with my car), however I can live without these features because it's better than buying a new phone for now. All other features of the phone do work.
