Fits 2 small people comfortably
My husband and I spent a total of 6 nights in this hammock, together, while backpacking in California. The whole setup is lightweight and about the size of an ultralight sleeping bag when all packed. The first night we didn't put our air mattresses in the bottom, and when the temperature dropped it was a bit cool on our backsides. We added the air mattresses when we woke up freezing, and that extra insulation made things perfect. It was about 55 Fahrenheit where we were. We are both little, about 250 lbs combined. We had plenty of room, but did slide toward the center so one of us always had an arm under the other, but we weren't too squished and slept comfortably. With it being asymmetrical, with the two of us in there it seemed like there were two pockets you can put your mass in comfortably, one on either side of center, and one closer to the head with the other closer to the foot. We probably should have slept with our heads in opposite directions, but I wasn't a fan of having his feet in my face after hiking all day, so we kept our heads at one end, but one of our butts was always about a foot farther down than the other, in the lower pocket. It was ok though, the offset meant one person's shoulders were level with the other's head rather than shoulder to shoulder and it made for more space. The only problem we had was that it's tough to keep the bedding from sliding toward the middle, so we had to keep fighting the sleeping bag back up under our shoulders, and the air mattresses had a tendency to slide under each other and down (we have the V blow up ones that fold down to nothing. Hennessy makes a heat reflecting pad, but not for the Safari model hammock, and the Hennessy one is bulkier because it's foil coated bubble wrap). Before the next trip, I plan to make a nylon sleeve for the air mattresses to go in so they don't overlap, and attach strings to that sleeve so we can attach them to the head of the hammock and prevent the down slide, similar to how the Hennessy reflective pads are set up. I'll probably add grommets to the sleeping bags also so I can use the same ties from the air mattresses to keep the sleeping bags from sliding down too. Overall, very comfortable. No back pain after 6 nights. The screen did it's job wonderfully and all materials held up well. The rainfly is great for blocking wind, and seems like it would keep rain off though we didn't test it. Great design.

Very Satisfied, cool and bug free...
I rarely take an item into the wilderness w/o testing it first, but a compressed schedule kept me from trying this out before taking off to the north woods. Since we were staying at a "fly-in" cabin, it was a luxury item and not strictly needed. We were under weight, so I tossed this hammock in thinking that with a crowded cabin it might be useful to cure "cabin fever".The set up was a snap. It was easy to find a likely pair of trees the appropriate distance apart. The setup w/ included straps was a quick, obvious and efficient. Within a few minutes it was set up and I was inside and chillin'.It quickly proved it's worth in the first day. The weather was hot and I set up the fly to catch what little breeze there was and funnel it towards the hammock while still providing shade. It was heaven compared to the cabin and quickly became a my favorite retreat from the heat. I spent the fist night in cool, happy bliss. The rest of the nights I put the fly back in a more standard position. Two rainstorms later and everything stayed dry.Entering and laying down comfortably was obvious and easy. The asymmetric layout allowed my to rest either on my back or side in complete comfort. One of my fellow campers found that she could sleep quite happily on her stomach and decided that she couldn't wait to buy one for her backyard. She enjoyed the spacious interior and was looking forward to chilling in one with her dog when she got home. The only downside I found was that while the screen kept the bugs out, they gathered around the tent at night (no real surprise, the north woods were about as bad with mosquitoes as I've seen) and the noise was tremendous. As I fell asleep the first night it didn't dawn on me, but the little buggers will bite through the tent material and screen. As you sleep, make sure you stay on top of your sleeping bag and don't lean against the screen if your surrounded by biting insects. ;-)I spent the rest of the trip (except one night I let my friend try it) sleeping outside instead of in the cabin and was quite happy to trade the indoor matress for the hammock. All-in-all I was quite satisfied. This little fellow is going to be along on all of my trips into the north woods.

I love this hammock
I bought this hammock because it's one of the biggest ones I could find and I'm a pretty big guy (6'1" 240lbs). This thing is awesome I have a pretty bad back but I've slept in this thing about 10 times so far with no problems. It's extremely comfortable. I don't really care for the rain fly because it's a little small for such a large hammock but it still gets the job done.A few things I recommend buying right off the bat in addition to this would be 2 sets of hennessy XL snakeskins and if your going to be sleeping in any season besides summer pick up a good underquilt. It does get a bit chilly without one.

Excellent hammock
Got the HH Safari for about a month now and loving it. Putting it through some test here in Florida in mid October with the coming cooler weather in my yard. Even had it up and using it during the windy hurricane Sandy and it held up with no problem. It was nice and cozy inside while the fly flapped up and down violently. Had to admit I was nervous at first wondering how long it was going to hold me up during those windy days, but it turned out just fine. All I can say to those who love to hang like I do is,....you won't go wrong with a Hennessy hammock.

you literally can't buy a better one. I am 100% satisfied with the hammock ...
As far as the product itself, you literally can't buy a better one. I am 100% satisfied with the hammock itself as well as the other Hennessy hammocks I've seen. Doesn't get five stars because I bought specifically from this buyer because of the added tree straps. While it's not lying and it does come with tree straps, they are pretty much useless before or after a certain size tree. If you don't care about or are going to buy better tree straps like I had to do this thing is awesome and super comfortable to sleep in which I was worried about as I toss and turn a lot. But I slept great. It's a great product!

I use this all the time
I don't sleep on the ground anymore, getting too old. This hammock is a beast and I love it. Only mod I made to it was replacing the lines on the sides with paracord.

Fun idea but not as practical as you would think
Fun idea but not as practical as you would think. If you need to pee in the middle of the night consider yourself screwed.

Better than a tent if you backpack or don't like sites that allow car camping or if you hate stuffy tents! Get a bubble pad!
Just ordered my second, this time a Jungle double bottom for Hurricane evacuations in Florida, who cares if there are no motels available!

Strong and sturdy...
Sturdy and strong hanging Hammock. I have slept many a night in it so far. Keeps the creeping, crawling critters out and you can honestly sleep comfortably in it.

He said he slept amazing and it also rained on them and he stayed ...
My son used it to camp with his Boy Scout Troop this last weekend. He said he slept amazing and it also rained on them and he stayed 100% dry.

Great, could add some things
Everything about it is FABULOUS. disappointed it didnt come with the snakeskin or stakes... Other than that it holds me and my friend (total 375 pounds) no problem easy set up.
