Great fitting locking hood latches
The media could not be loaded. These are constructed well and fit the OEM hatches pre-drilled holes exceptionally nice. Once installed they are nice and snug, close easily without any rattles or hood vibrations. It took me only a few minutes to line each gasket up with the locking pieces and secure the bolts. I spent more time removing the old rusted nuts, bolts and corroded gaskets. I highly recommend this set, the material is solid and the locks turn easily with both sets of keys. This is a fantastic design and such an incredible value at less than $40. I’d definitely recommend to upgrade and secure your hood!

No more hood flutter on windy days!
I was so excited for this install, with how windy it has been the hood flutter has been scary, also loved that these lock so no worrying about someone messing up my Jeep! I included a before during and after photo as well! I Ordered these on Friday night and recieved them on Sunday. Shipping was super fast!!The install only took about 30 minutes. All you need is a rachet with a 10mm and 15mm socket. And a Allen wrench is helpful to have handy for the screws that go on the hood. They literally take the place of the factory ones so no new holes need to be drilled. I did take off the front grill to help access the nuts on the fenders much easier. That only takes a couple of minutes. Just 6 push fasteners on the front top of grill. All you do is unbolt originals and replace with the new ones. They are a bit snug to snap shut But that’s also a great thing! Once they are locked there is no getting into hood without the key. They provide 4 keys total. I have one on each set of Jeep keys and one on my set of husbands truck keys and on my husbands set of keys too. I highly recommend these as a replacement, there is no way of cutting them easily to bypass the lock to get into hood and they are solid metal too!

Nice upgrade
I have a little more peace of mind with the hood locked. Easy to install. I think future models of Wanglers and Gladiators should have locking hoods. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because the lock nuts did not come with SS washers, the black paint chipped during installation, the shaft that hinges everything looks like a weak point but maybe not, the key operation not real smooth. Time will tell how they hold up. It came with extra keys, so I put one on the key chain, one in the glove box, and one in the shop; if I had an emergency and had to get under the hood quickly the key needs to be readily available, which is why Jeep needs to put hood locks on future models like all other cars.

There not safe your hood will blow open the locks are loose
The threads that hold the lock in on both sides is not enough to eaven cover the size of the nut there barely on the lock that holds the hood closed ,I kept hearing a rattle if I did not look the hood would of blown open on the highway they put self locking nuts but there is not enough stud to go through the nut to touch the self locking plastic feature on the locking mechanism so yes your hood will blow open I love them but this is a major safety concern if I had the original latches I would put them back on I drive 6 miles a day to work round trip just street driving this can be a major accident waiting to happen it holds the hood closed I don’t know what to do

Sleek Looking
I'm not sure why Jeep doesn't secure the hood (engine compartment) any better. On almost any vehicle there is a switch / button release for the hood inside the cabin of the vehicle. Anyone can just unlatch the latches and have access to your engine (unless you have a full security system).I liker the design and the materials used for the new latches. It only took a few minutes to install. The design is low profile and very sleek looking. I highly recommend this Mod for any new Jeep owner.

Great security
I installed these and they fit perfect. They stopped a lot of the good vibration as well. Very secure and look really good as well.

Gets the job done (barely)
I got these mostly just to have a sense of security with my jeep. And because they looked really easy to install. They are pretty easy to install, at least, as easy as they can be.However, there is no room for adjustment on the bottom latch placement, which in my case makes it so it's right against the fender on one side, and hard to lock as well as unlatch. The other side looks fine but can barely make it over the upper latch and I can't adjust it down any more.Add on top the fact that the smaller nuts they sent have left-handed threads and it lands this at 3 stars for me. Now, I didn't need the nuts they provided because I still have the originals, but if you're going to send a nut, at least make the thread match.
