I was surprised when I first opened the sterile package and felt the dressing for the first time. The dressing felt rough, and I didn't dare put it directly on the wound. What I did do, and is the high calling for this Conkote dressing, is place it over a more comfortable silver alginate dressing to add absorption power for the wound. For the added absorption over another alginate this is quite capable and apt for the job.
