I like this blanket. It's exactly what I expected. It's big enough for me and my child to sit and have a picnic on the grass. The material is great for protecting against moisture. Some people are saying that they have a hard time holding it, I however did not. You simply fold it in half fold in half again and then fold both sides in and it zips up just fine. It's easy just to pack in the car and have when we're out on the go.

The top fabric is similar to an umbrella. The bottom fabric is similar to a thin patio furniture cover. The entire unit feels like a nice-quality moving blanket. It has a built in zipper, handle, and side pocket. It has a thin padding as well.I bought it because it is machine washable and is PBA and phthalates free. These 2 chemicals are endocrine disruptors, which interfere with your hormones and cause obesity, diabetes, AHDD and autism in kids. I do not think it is 100% water proof. I use it to sit on the balcony floor and on the carpet for exercise. So, I do not care whether it is waterproof or not. It has to absorb some water for it to be machine washable.If you need extra protection and 100% water proof ,just buy another a cheap thick vinyle beach blanket to place under this blanket at the beach. This way, your skin is not touching any toxic materials. Unless the ground is soaking wet, this blanket would be fine. If it caught sands, just throw it in the washer and air dry it. It will fit inside a regular washer at home.

We bought our blanket to make the most of the backyard at our apartment complex (since we aren't going to the beach and summer camp like usual) and it has not disappointed. I was worried about the texture of the blanket but its very comfortable. We have not tried to wash it or take it to the beach yet. We use it on grass for picnics, sunbathing, and reading. We fit 2 adults on it comfortably. We love it!We have no issues folding it but its a little hard to zip up. We usually zip up 3 sides and just leave fourth open--it stays compact, so its okay.

I love that it can be folded up into a nice small package - with a handle and a pocket! While everyone else has their towel in the sand, I have my towel on this blanket! Then I can use my towel to dry off after the beach, and shake out the sand from my blanket. I live near the beach in South Florida and won't leave home without it in my car trunk!

We love this picnic blanket! It opens up easily; is insulated so the damp grass or sand doesn't soak through; it shakes out quickly and packs away easily. I bought one last year and keep it in my trunk for impromptu stops. It washes easily in the washing machine and I can put it in the dryer for a few minutes, or shake it out and drape it over a chair to air dry. I bought this most current one for my son and his family. They've already sent me pictures of it in their back yard, being enjoyed by the whole family.

I was expecting a soft woven fabric, but this "blanket" is made of thin plastic or vinyl that would be unpleasant to sit on, especially on a hot day. When you touch it or move it, it makes rustling noise, so would be very annoying. I returned it, and bought a cotton blanket at Goodwill to use as a picnic blanket. I can put a tarp under it, to make it moisture-proof.

The beach blanket is nice. A little bit on the small side. Can fit my wife, our baby, and I with a couple of containers of fruit without much more room to spare. I was lying down sideways and my wife was sitting with our baby. The blanket was placed on top of grass and along with the bounciness of the grass, provided good cushioning. Did not feel any moisture come through. The blanket also has convenient instructions for folding once you're finished, but we can never get anything that folds like this folded as well as it did when new. So, one side of the zipper stays open because we can't fold that well. Overall pretty pleased with the blanket.

Perfect for the beach; the sand just slides off. Perfect for use as a playmat for my infant grandson; spit-up and drool are easily wiped up. On the damp ground or wet grass you may feel some moisture; but due to the thickness, no dirt goes through. I also use it to protect the bottom of my collapsible playpen from getting dirty when I take the playpen to use outdoors. I appreciate how easily it folds up, the length of the shoulder strap and how lightweight it is.Washes in the washing machine beautifully, and dries quickly on the gentle cycle in the dryer. I liked it so much I purchased another as I have lots of grandchildren; this blanket really comes in handy.
