This Metal Pre Clean is not a cure all. It’s absolutely fantastic for cutting through baked on brake dust and grime. I used it to restore and clean the backsides of some 2002 Honda aluminum wheels which had probably NEVER been cleaned and had decades of baked on crude. I sprayed it on generously and kept respraying to keep the working surface from drying while I scrubbed with a scotchbrite abrasive pad. I finally rinsed, dried and reapplied to stubborn spots which I then scrubbed with a steel wire brush. I initially didn’t think there was any way of cleaning the insides of those wheels, but Flinz Metal Pre Clean along with some elbow grease did the trick. It doesn’t work on everything though. I tried it on some stained metal bakeware, aluminum I think, and it didn’t do a thing. Also it’s not really a rust remover, you’ll have to use Oxalic acid or some Iron Remover for the rust.

I used this to clean up some corroded metal that I wire brushed. It worked well but I can tell by the smell it's very similar to a popular cleaner that is purple in color, or Dollar store non-aerosol grill/oven cleaner. It's a bit overpriced compared to other similar products, but it may have additional ingredients or properties I am not aware of. That said, the spray bottle was good quality. It sprayed solidly and didn't dribble chemicals all over your hand while using it. The product itself did degrease the metal pretty well, I used a nylon brush to agitate the thiicker buildup. I liked that it came in shrink packaging to save space and prevent leaks as well. Nothing wrong with it, but you may find similar products for a bit less right here on Amazon.

I had watched videos about this product before purchasing it and it works just like it did in the video. It cleans a lot of dirt, grime, etc. off metal. I am happy with how fast it works.

This is the best and easiest brass cleaner that I have ever used.

IMO, this product is more overhyped than anything I've purchased in the past 20 years. their infomercials appear "selective" at best. We have a 1989 Gibson houseboat with 200'+ aluminum of railings. This product semi-helped prep the aluminum railings for polishing but it requires ALOT of product and you must work uber fast because it drys quickly, leaving black oxide streaks/spots that then require more product to remove. Perhaps great for small project but not economical for my project and not easy to work with.

It works like its sposed to. We had to leave it on for a bit longer. All the brush aluminum shines again.

I can’t even begin to tell you how bad my rims were. It was almost yellow to golden with all the rust and deposits. I just sprayed this once all over and now it looks brand new! And it didn’t even take me more than a couple minutes from spraying, scrubbing and washing it off. This is liquid gold I promise. It’s worth every dollar paid.
