End of a great product
This is a wonderful product that has been around all my life 66 years and counting. But speaking to Nestle/Carnation today Feb 28th 2025 they say it stopped being manufactured in 2023...explains why I can't find it anywhere..even on Amazon. Very sad.

Handy
Nestlé Carnation Extra Thick Cream Topping is more expensive than fresh double cream, or fresh extra thick cream. The convenience is worth the cost. It's particularly helpful for a ketogenic diet, where cream plays a significant part in many recipes, or just in tea or coffee.Buying fresh cream in my weekly shop is a balancing act. Get too few, and they run out before the end of the week. Too many and there's a risk of the last ones spoiling. Even when the quantity is just right, by the end of the week a layer of super thick, buttery cream has formed at the top of the carton.Nestlé Carnation Extra Thick Cream Topping tastes fine for all uses. The tin needs good shake until the contents sound less liquid. Then into the fridge until needed. When opened the cream is thick and spoonable. It remains firm for a couple of days. The tin is a handy size. The pack of 12 doesn't take up fridge space, and can be stored in the cupboard until needed.

Excellent
I only ever use this cream when I make chocolate cake and trifles. Myself, family and friends all agree the flavour/taste and thickness of this cream and brand makes these desserts. I was gutted when Morrisons stopped stocking it, hence being delighted when I saw it on Amazon. It also works out a little cheaper too. Win, win and thanks Amazon đđ

A good old-fashioned store cupboard item
Open this after chilling well and you find a big clot of cream surrounded by milky liquid. Place it in a dish and stir well. It has a heat-treated slightly cooked taste but it is perfectly palatable and acceptable. Use it as a topping, to serve with fruit, or for cooking.Long before the days of avocados with everything and smoothies for breakfast, when I was a girl, growing up in the countryside, every good housewife kept a decent larder. Fridges and freezers were not so common and we ate more seasonably. I remember when frozen peas and supermarkets were a novelty! A few tins of things were always put by for emergencies and to help out meals in the winter time. Sundays were very traditional: church in the morning and Sunday school for children, home to a roast "dinner", a gigantic walk in the afternoon over the moors, then home to "tea" at five o'clock. It was always salad, tinned salmon or cold pie, cheese, bread and butter, fruitcake, and tinned peaches with tinned cream.

THICK THICK cream in a can
We usually buy a thick fresh cream from the supermarket, but when we fancied some cream weâd never have it in the fridge, or it had run out of date before weâd used it...NOW on the other hand we have these tins which can also be stored in the cupboard, so I will always have some to hand and they wonât expire too quickly! The consistency of the cream really surprised me when I pulled the can ring, it sounded runny inside, but it IS THICK!! It literally sticks to the spoon and you have to force it off into the bowl. I am very pleased with it, plus it tastes like cream too - not exactly like fresh cream, but not too far off to notice! We even managed too make a cheesecake with it - thatâs how thick it is. We had some with sponge cake last night and I wish I had taken a photo to add to my review.I have these on subscribe and save - at this price you canât go wrong.

Damaged tins
Out of the 12 tins 8 were dented some worse than others, either from being thrown about in the warehouse or damaged in transit
