I have been using Swanson brand Pygeum for a while and I have been happy with the results. I have also been a customer of BulkSupplements for more than a year and have been happy with their other products. When I saw that BulkSupplements offered Pygeum, I decided to give it a try. So far I am very happy with the product. It appears to work just as well as the Swanson Pygeum, but at much less cost. I will be sticking with the BulkSupplements Pygeum!

It tastes bad, but mixed in low quantity, like teas, helps eliminates the issue. Not sure if it helps with prostate?!

I have frequent urination problem that has been going on all my life, I'm 87 years old. I would have to get up anywhere from 4 to 8 times a night. It was so bad I couldn't drive more than 20 miles without finding a place to stop, probably behind a bush or suffer for another 10 and you can figure the outcome from there. so I have tried nearly everything available that I could find. I read a commercial about Gorilla berries and their prices were way over my pay scale so I checked Amazon for anything similar. This product was an extract ,I thought, but turned out to be ground up bark, however I definitely wasn't disappointed with how it worked. The package said over 1100 doses in the package, that's at 1/16th of a spoon-full per day. I started at double that dosage and or two month It did nothing so I doubled that to make four times the dosage( 1/4 teaspoon) from that night on I either got up once or two times a night (sometimes not at all)for the next two months. Highly recommend you try it.

UPDATE-I wanted to get back to this and update my experience. I have no medical certifications or licenses, so this is purely a UX non professional review. A dosage of "5000" is exorbitant if it's supposed to be mg's. Even a half of the recommendation on the container seems like over doing it. I'm taking about 200 mg's daily, in capsules I pack myself. Does it work? I'd say yes. I would recommend to start with a small dose and go from there. ------- The brands recommended dosage of 5000 mg (2 teaspoons) seems huge, considering other medical literature advises a dosage of 100 - 200 mgs for this kind of supplement. I may be missing something but I’d be interested in seeing what amounts other users are taking and any reactions, in addition to how effective it is. I’m starting with 1/2 the recommended dosage, 1 teaspoon, with water and with a meal. I’ll update this review in a couple weeks, as to how well it works, and if any adjustments.

I was a bit worried when this product appeared to be a bit different in appearance (darker, more uniform coloration) than the previous pygeum extract supplement I was taking by Solaray. However, this product is equally effective at controlling my BPH and much more cost effective than buying the supplement in pill form. I take 1/8 tsp dry and wash it down with a drink. It has a nutty, sweet sawdusty flavor. I won't be buying any other pygeum supplement again as this is the best value hands down.

I did not read the instructions closely. 250 g package will last 3.4 years (at 100 mg serving size). Now they changed the serving size to 500 mg?? It really worked for my BPH. I accidently overdosed (5x) and for 2 days I did not wake up to pee in the middle of sleep.

If the potency is as described then the suggested serving size is quite aggressive. Compared to the pills I have taken it would be the equivalent of taking like 25 pills or something. I mix it with my psyllium and it is definitely working. I know when I don't take it what the difference is like; lots of trips.
