Excellent fit - very comfortable - superb for a safety shoe
I have had these shoes for over a month & been wearing them up to 11 hours a day, 5 days a week & they are very comfortable, 99% of the time I do not know I am wearing safety shoes (only when I very sharply shift direction such that my feet are extremely twisted within the shoe do I feel the presence of the steel cap) & several people have commented that they do not look like safety shoes, they just look like a robust pair of office shoes (exactly what I wanted). No obvious signs of wear yet, I did at first buy size 9's & they were too small ( I am sort of a 9-9.5) but the size 10s are such a better (perfect) fit (the free exchange was painless).I highly recommend these shoes, I am even thinking of ordering another pair even though my need for safety shoes is likely not to be so needed after the next few months.

Doesn't look too much like a safety shoe, but is one!
And that's the main reason I purchased these shoes: they look 'normal' and don't have massive, clumpy soles or a weird, bulbous toe cap. I could have worn my company-provided safety shoes but they look awful and more like a pair of medical support devices! These shoes don't look like they even have steel toe caps inside - definitely a plus for me.The City Knights are like traditional, Oxford shoes in styling and could be worn with a formal suit, or uniform. They are made from a good quality leather which would polish very well. The soles look solid and hard-wearing, with a good grip pattern, and are rated as 'anti-slip'. You can tell these are not standard, Oxford-style soles (which are generally leather and smooth) but they don't look too 'safety shoe'.The interior is well-cushioned (vital for comfort if you have to walk a lot for work) and properly finished inside: I didn't find any awkward bits sticking into my feet. There are 5 lace eyelets each side which means you can properly tighten the shoe, and stop it moving about on your foot. The back of the shoe has a 'U' shape, cut-out to avoid the leather cutting into your Achilles tendon when you crouch down (it's more pronounced on my shoes, than in the product photo). That sort of detail shows that these are well-designed work shoes. The City Knights don't seem to weigh any more than other formal shoes I have - some safety shoes can be considerably heavier.I'm a broad-footed, size 11 and found the fit is good, if a bit snug (thick socks would be out); they did need to loosen-up with wear to become really comfortable (as mentioned by other reviews, the heel area was the issue for me - but no more than other leather shoes I've worn). Might be worth going a half-size larger if you wear thick socks or extra insoles.

Ideal office and workshop shoes
They took a while to break in at the back of the heal, and it did give me blisters, but a few days wearing sorted that out. Ideal for those that wear a shirt and tie but have to go onto site or into the workshop where steel toes are mandatory. They look ok when wearing with trousers vs boots and could be worn to and fromnwork without looking too clumpy. I added a pair or gel insoles which made them more bearable and wearable. Would have given 5 stars if the leather roubd the back of the heal was softer. They'll do me for the office and workshop.

good shoe, rubbish laces
Comfortable shoes that look good, definitely don't look like safety shoes. They are even comfortable when worn for long periods. They come with a spare set of laces, unfortunately they need to, I have had these shoes just 2 months and already on the second set of laces, and both of those has worn through the outer woven casing and one has snapped. Currently waiting for laces from another source. That is at pandemic reduced activity levels. The rest of the shoe is showing little or no wear and tear as would be expected

Excellent pair good quality and robust of shoes
These were much better than I expected from an online purchase, as shoe sizing can be a complex affair.Reading the existing reviews, I decided to purchase one size ( or half size , depending upon the actual size required ) bigger than I normally measure. This was a good idea, as the shoes fit perfectly, after replacing the insole with my own.Seem to be good quality. Used for over 3 months with no issues.Remember to polish them to keep them looking like new

tight tight tight!!
Why, Oh Why whenever you order a pair of shoes these days can't size 11 mean 11and not 10 1/2, lovely shoe but after 12 hrs tend to become annoyingly tight, I have stuffed them tight with newspaper and they do give a bit so I shall persevere. If it wasn't for the shoe size I would have given 5 stars no problem.

These shoes are great. My foot size is around 6 and 1/2 so I usually buy a 7, especally as I have toe joint problems. The fit was just right.Shoe. Quality looks very good (better than I expected). All shoes need wearing in and these are no exception, but I've had minimal problems with rubbing so far and with a little time I think these will be a great pair of shoes for everyday work.

Good quality shoe, buy bigger than your normal size.
Unforgiving steel toe caps have led to nerve damage. Not entirely the fault of the shoe. But wearing these has given me nothing but problems since I stopped wearing them.Because the shoes narrow at the toe if you buy only slightly bigger than normal and wear these for a significant portion of your day your feet swell and then the toe caps will inflict damage.
