Great computer
This has been a great computer for us so far. The only thing reviewers didn't like was the slow/older hard drive. As soon as we got it I replaced the hard drive with a Samsung ssd 850 pro that we already had. The solid state drives are an easy upgrade and make a big difference in boot up time and how fast the computer runs. The hard drive was very easy to swap out. I found a you tube video with this same model computer that walks you through it.In our last all-in-one computer I had to pull the whole computer apart to get to the hard drive. With this one, everything is contained in the bottom part on the back where the stand screws in. It was much easier to pull apart. Our last computer also needed a conversion box to go from a standard hard drive to the smaller SSD one. On this computer I didn't need that. The standard hard drive is the same size as the SSD, so I could use all of the same hardware to hold it in. I was happy about that.I also really like that this has the 8th gen intel in it. I am sure there is already a 9th gen out there somewhere, but not in any computer even close to this price. Most of the computers in this price range have much older versions of the intel i5 chip. The 8th gen was actually a pretty good leap in performance from what I could find online. We also wanted this computer to last 7 or 8 years or more, so we wanted to have the latest right now so it doesn't get outdated too soon. The 12GB of RAM was also a great deal at this price and will help it last for a while. I am sure someday soon 12GB will be the bare minimum just to get a computer to start up.So right now, with an SSD (which really was easy to swap out), the latest intel i5, and 12GB of RAM, this thing is a fast little computer. Probably not ready for gaming because it doesn't have a dedicated graphics card, but that's not what we wanted it for. It has been great so far and we expect it to last a good while before it gets outdated.

1 Star out of the box. 5 Star computer only if you upgrade! Here is how
I love this computer now BUT there are a few things you have to do to make it a five star computer. It’s total crap if you don’t upgrade. As shipped it’s a 1 STAR computer. Why any computer manufacturer would put a HDD into a new computer I don’t know. I guess just to keep costs down. On all 3 of our Acers the Microsoft update was broken. Pretty sure it has something to do with old Intel video drives. Here is what MUST be done.1. Get a SSD. I bought a Samsung 500G drive. I have also tried the WD drives and they work fine also.2. Get a USB to Sata converter. Look on amazon. I think mine are Startech.3. Download a free drive cloning software. Samsung has one for free as do most the other guys.4. Clone the existing drive to the new SSD and replace the existing HDD. YouTube has videos on how to do this.5. Use the old drive as a paper weight.6. Go to Intel’s site and install the driver update program. Run the tool and install the drivers. The display driver will not update because Acer has not approved the driver. Manually download the zip version of the intel HD 620 driver. (I think that’s right)Unzip the file to the downloads folder. Go to Device Manager and manually install the driver.7. Go to Microsoft a download the Microsoft Update Assistant software. Run it.8. Uninstall the crap software that these manufactures put on it.That’s all folks! Enjoy

Display is great, keyboard and mouse less SO
I ordered this as it was a best buy on Amazon after the screen on my previous all-in-one (a Lenovo) died suddenly. That's always a potential drawback of the all-in-ones. Set-up was easy and the camera is a USB attachment, nice for security since I never use the camera (meaning that it is still in the package, so no one can spy on me).Pros:Reasonably fast processor and display is great. The screen is matte finish so very little glare from the window by my desk, a nice change from the glossy screen on the old display. The bezel around the screen is small, so it makes the desktop seem bigger.Cons:The included keyboard and mouse aren't that great. I used it for a day or two but switched it out for my old wireless keyboard and mouse (both Microsoft models). The keyboard was laptop style without separate page-up and down keys or a number pad. If it was a portable device I could understand, but this is a desktop model and should have a full keyboard. The mouse was also very basic and I missed having a separate back button. There are two USB 2 and two USB 3 slots, but all are on the back of the screen, which requires moving the computer to access. I finally ordered a USB 3.0 hub to put in front of the stand so I could have easier access to them.
