Very compact filament dryer. So far I have used it for ePLA and TPU spools while printing. Nice and lightweight so it sits on the top of the printer currently on a small custom printed plate (though it will be moved to a shelf soon). Recommended for those printers that do not have an AMS type changer system and want a good way to keep their filaments in good condition while they are printing.

For the price I am very pleased with this purchase. The filament does get exposed to air on its way to the printer so I just bought some ptfe tubing, a pc4-m10 fitting and printed out a fitting for the drier which someone had already uploaded to the web. I put it altogether and it works great. But I think it would work without this but hey, for a few quid I thought it was worth it. As the spool fits on the two rollers it helps to stop the filament rolling over the side and getting stuck which has happened before I got the drier and messed up prints for me. So that fixes another problem for me. Since getting the drier, and used it according to the filament manufacturers instructions, i have had no problems with stringing or bubbling. I used it for petg and pla. It doesn't go to as high a temperature as others so check what are the temperatures you need for the filaments that you use. But for me this completely works for the filaments that i use. I should note that I do keep my filament in air tight bags with most of the air removed. I don't know if this drier would work if you keep your spools in the open. But for me it's been an excellent purchase that I am very happy with.

It's a very simple device that generally does what it's supposed to. You put the filament inside, turn it on, it heats up. A small fan circulates the air for more even heating. The manual is very sparse and doesn't really match what the buttons are actually doing. The QR code link to the full manual is broken. With a little experimentation I figured out how to use it (you have to hold the buttons to enter settings), but needless to say a manual that actually matches the product would be nice. One fundamental problem with how the device works is that there is no way for moist air to escape. You have to open and close it every 1-2 hours during operation to exchange the air. Otherwise you will just have hot moist air inside. I was still able to dry my PLA filament and achieved a noticeable decrease in stringing, so it does work. I'm only deducting 1 star for the downsides because the device is very cheap after all.

Heats up quickly, holds temperature well and runs silent. Very good product - no complaints with sunlu products so far.

I must say I am very pleased with this product. It came well packaged, runs on 24V adapter which was supplied. You can set the temperature from 35-55°C, and set the baking timer from 1h to 24H. It achieves the 55°C in about 15min which is quite fast, to be honest. Nice big backlight LCD gets the temperature reading a breeze. Controlling the dryer is easy. Just set the temperature with the buttons and hold 3 sec to set the time. I had one spool of PLA which had been absorbed moisture and popping whilst printing, gave it 6h of drying on 55°C and no more popping, print came out great. The great thing about it that spool is laying on two rotating cylinders (they seem to be ball bearing) so you can print whilst drying, so you have dual-purpose, drying and spool holder at the same time. There is an additional hole on the top I suppose you could install the pneumatic PTFE connector but you can use the bottom hole for ease of use, which does not let too much hot air out anyway. There is no fan inside which is great because is dead silent. Front and back of the dryer get fairly hot to touch, I reckon where the heater elements are but nothing too severe, thinking about it, good that it has two heating elements because you will have even distribution of temperature inside the chamber. Overall this dryer looks very good, I am really happy with how it performs and will continue to use it to get my 3D prints as good as they can be.

The fan inside the dryer is junk (started to die after a few days only). After modding when it's set to 55C the top only reaches around 45C. Upgraded with 2 5015 fans, a buck converter to make them silent and moved the temperature/humidity sensor to the middle of the filament spool. 2x6mm holes in the top to let moisture exit.

Dries filament fast enough but I do advise if you are using this for multi colour prints to get a tube for the filament and put silica beads in as the drying only does so much

Ottimo essiccatore per filamenti! Acquistato in promozione qualche mese fa (prime days), utilizzato tantissimo e finora molto soddisfatto dell’acquisto! Consente di impostare temperatura e tempo di funzionamento, manca l’indicazione dell’umidità, ma non ne ho sentito la mancanza. Testato con bobine BambuLab e Sunlu e funziona egregiamente, senza inceppamenti. Silenzioso (si sente solo il ronzio - leggero - della ventola), di sicuro la stampante fa più rumore. Credo sia un buon acquisto se la stampante è posizionata in stanze o locali non proprio asciutti. Io la uso in un locale tecnico e ho dovuto mettere anche un deumidificatore. Prima di stampare accendo entrambi per una mezz’ora e la qualità delle stampe sembra sensibilmente migliorata!

Me ha funcionado bien y con buenos resultados. La calidad del producto no es la mejor, pero tampoco es una chafada, cumple bien, funciona bien y no desepciona. No es nada mala compra.

==ENGLISH VERSION BELOW== Diese Filament-Trocknerbox ist wirklich großartig. Sie ist leise, kompakt und macht genau das, was sie soll. Besonders praktisch finde ich den Timer, mit dem sich die Box nach einer bestimmten Zeit automatisch abschaltet. Das ist extrem hilfreich, wenn man den 3D-Drucker aus der Ferne über die Cloud starten möchte. Ich kann das Filament vorher mit dem Timer vorheizen und ein paar Stunden später einfach den Druck starten, ohne mir Sorgen machen zu müssen, dass das Filament zu lange getrocknet wird. Ein weiteres tolles Feature ist die Anzeige der relativen Luftfeuchtigkeit (%RH) im Inneren der Box. So kann man die Luftfeuchtigkeit im Raum mit der im Gehäuse vergleichen, was sehr wichtig ist, um sicherzustellen, dass das Filament richtig getrocknet und bereit zum Drucken ist. Natürlich lässt sich auch die Temperatur je nach Filamentart einstellen, was die Nutzung sehr flexibel und einsteigerfreundlich macht. Zusätzlich hat die Box eine kleine Öffnung, durch die das Filament direkt in den Drucker geführt werden kann, ähnlich wie bei einem integrierten Halter. Für diesen Preis ist das Gerät wirklich jeden Cent wert. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen. --------------------------- ENGLISH VERSION: This filament dryer is amazing. It’s quiet, sleek, and works exactly as it should. I love that you can set a timer so it turns off automatically. That’s super useful if your 3D printer is connected to the cloud. I just preheat the filament with the timer, and a few hours later I can start the print remotely without worrying about over-drying. One of the best features is the ability to read the relative humidity (%RH) inside the dryer. This lets you compare the room humidity to the internal environment, which is super important when you want to make sure the filament is properly dried and ready for high-quality prints. You can also adjust the temperature depending on the type of filament you’re using, which makes it really flexible and beginner-friendly.
