glass or plastic bottles?

I ordered awhile back, but I believe they were glass, if not, then it was an extremely hard plastic and the package went through a lot, but no broken bottles!

Why is it so expensive?

Price gouging. They usually $1.00 each at the supermarket. Also found at Dollar Tree and Dollar General.
