Ardell Beauty Top and Bottom Precision Mascara, Ebony

This product is the best mascara I've worn in a long time. It isn't dramatic so I would use it for every day use, but it says put without needing scrubbing off. Most mascaras smudge or go panda-eyes on me but not this one - this may be because of the application to the bottom lashes using a very fine comb. The brush for the top lashes is much thicker, and is tapered - fine for using on your right eye, a bit trickier for your left.Not dramatic, as I said, but certainly a step up from your average mascara. I would re-purchase this.

This really is a 'top' and 'bottom' mascara. Each end has a separate container for the mascara. When you unscrew the end marked Top, the centre pulls out to reveal a thick brush for the upper lashes; when you unscrew the end marked Bottom, the centre pulls out to reveal the tiniest of brushes suitable for those really fine lashes on your lower lid. It's a really great idea although I suspect that the top will run out long before the bottom! Clever idea though.

The best mascara i have used unfortunately the packaging broke after 3 weeks which would make me wary of buying again but absolutely loved the mascara

Report back from my better half re the mascara, which she really liked. The mascara was non-clumpy but added volume to the lashes and (even though she does not curl) gave an appearance of curl. She was delighted with the dual brush approach that allowed lower lash mascara to be applied with a smaller brush.She has noted it wasn't waterproof but that wasn't an issue for her.All in all, she was very impressed.

A great idea which works so well. The top lash brush is pretty standard: a chunky cone shape barrel. The bottom lash brush is just like a mini spiky pipe cleaner. Both work to apply mascara cleanly and without any clumps.The mascara itself slightly lengthens my lashes and separates them for definition (looks even better if gently curled with an eyelash curler first).It wears well without smudging or melting. Not waterproof so it’s easy to remove with normal makeup remover.The bottom lash end of the brush is so small that in theory you could use it with any other mascara when this one runs out :)

This was great, giving very long flicky lashes without much clumping at all. I found the second part of the mascara less pleasing due to the unnatural feel, however it did give much greater definition overall. I used this mascara for everyday and nighttime too, the two elements meaning you can really glam it up if you want. I actually finished the tube which tells you everything you need to know!

Although this new mascara from Ardell Beauty is a bit more expensive than my wife's usual brand she has been really impressed by it and has been using it regularly since it arrived. The product is presented in an attractive double-ended container that is filled with ebony-coloured mascara – one end is labelled Top and the other is Bottom. My wife has found that this brush system works very well for her and if you check the illustrations on the Amazon product page you can see how things fit together and the design of the brushes. This is an easy to apply and easy to remove mascara that lasts well and can be slipped into your handbag should you wish to take it out and about with you in case you need to reapply later in the day. The Ardell brand was founded in 1971 by Arnold and Sydell Miller – hence Ar & dell – and they became famous for their false eyelashes. At around twelve pounds currently from Amazon their Ardell Beauty Top and Bottom Precision Mascara represents good value for the quality and is recommended by my wife.

I used the bottom lash wand and would not recommend it. It doesn’t look like anything.
