I fabricate hardwood equestrian tack trunks for use in stables - see photos. Each box weighs approx. 75 lb and the lids alone are 40 lb. I tried a different closure but it was not sufficiently sturdy. These are the 200nt closures and would certainly be sufficient for any lid of this weight or lighter. While some reviews have stated that the instructions are not clear, I found them to be fine - the measurements stated are good starting points, but some adjustments will likely be needed. I’ve now completed 16 of these trunks over the past three years and have had no issues at all with them.

The product description on Amazon is confusing - it cannot open to 90 degrees by design. The enclosed instruction says 75 which is truth. The product is a good quality, but designed for heavier objects and may be too strong for a regular wooden door or boxtop. Slams to open, may be dangerous.
