Solid brush
The Curly hair brush for Curls and Waves does actually volumize. I have curly hair. But I wear it short now that I'm getting older. And sometimes it falls flat. This brush has actually helped to give me volume in the back end areas where it's getting a little thinner. It's easy to use with my hair dryer. The design feels comfortable in my hand. It's not too heavy but it's a solidly built brush. It's got soft and hard bristles.

Awesome Brush — love the combo of hard and soft bristles
This brush has been a game changer for me! I really love that it has both hard and soft bristles, all mixed together. My hair isn’t curly, but it’s getting wavier as I age. My hair is also really fine, so it doesn’t hold style very well, and it has lots of flyaways.I got this brush thinking it might help me figure out a more-defined wave pattern, finally giving up on my once-sleek, stick-straight hair. On the contrary, it’s honestly been more helpful in getting my hair back to somewhat normal. I don’t know if the bristles are simply helping with static, or if it’s finally just distributing product more evenly throughout my hair — who knows. All I know is that my hair looks smoother all day long.I still have to style by hair one way or another, BUT my hair feels better and absolutely looks smoother with this in my routine.

Small but solid
This brush is made for curl separation, but really anyone can use it. The mixed bristle types are good for all hair types. I like the smaller slots on the sides. The brush feels solid in my hand, but still lightweight. It glides through my thick curly hair just as easily as it does in my daughter's thinner straight hair. The only thing I don't like about it is there is no drain hole. Usually cushion brushes have a hole so any water that gets under the cushion while cleaning can be squished out and drain easily. I'm hoping it's built well enough that no water can get under there, but I haven't needed to wash it yet.

Strong rubber-like smell - off-putting after first opening. Waiting to air out if it ever does...
After I first opened the plastic this brush came, it had a smell right away. I realized it was from black rubber/bristles side of the come and it wasn't pleasant. It had a very strong tar, rubber smell that was off putting I didn't wan to start using it right way since I didn't want my hair to smell like it.It does feel like a strong brush and strong bristles. I'm still waiting for the smell to go away, but it doesn't smell good. The material of the handle and rest of the brush reminded me of the material like melamine that you find some plates are made out of instead of plastic. The quality looks good, but the smell I think needs to be addressed.

A decent brush
This wet-dry hairbrush is quite good. The padded bristles perform as expected, and the curl separation edges work reasonably well. However, I find that the curl separation ridges are a bit too close together for my hair texture. I wish they were slightly wider, but overall, the brush works just fine. I really like it; it does a nice job of smoothing out my hair.
