If Stew-Mac tools are the Snap On brand in guitar repair, then Fret Guru are the industry's version of Mac tools - EVERY BIT AS GOOD AS SNAP ON BUT LESS EXPENSIVE - thus are a terrific value for the money. I have bought everything Fret Guru sells and have yet to regret any buying decision. The tools are well made, durable, all numbers are visible, and FG stands behind their products. Before you blow your $ on more expensive tools, I suggest trying Fret Guru and their fret rocker works perfectly.

This is a nice piece of kit. I do some fabrication work and like accurate, thoughtfully designed tools, no matter how simple the tool is. This is one of them. The action height markers are not only perfectly contrasted, they're actually milled into the plate so the paint won't ever wear off. The machining on it is insanely good. The logo is even perfectly machined into it. And yeah, it's dead accurate. Seriously nice, here. The picks, sticker, and hand-signed business card are thoughtful touches. Highly recommend.

This is an expensive fret rocker! But, it is the most true edge on all 3 sides I have used! Period! If you do any fret work, I highly recommend it. It will make your fret work easier and faster. All aluminum and the shipping was fast. Just buy it if your on the fence about the price n. You won't regret it.

This appears to be a precision made piece of gear, it will stand on edge on each side, very well built, easy to use, and I like the orange and white, high contrast, easy to read.

This is an accurate fret rocker. The one I got in one of the El Cheapo "spot level your fret" kits registered that all the Frets rocked. Even after filing the side that rocked it continued to rock on every fret. When put against this fret rocker I could see where it was off. This fret rocker is as accurate as you're going to get, I think. The owner is also very responsive if you have questions, since he also does luthier work. Added to the fact that it's noticeably less expensive than the "other guy" who sells luthier tools I think this is a good value and a great tool. I will be back for more.

Used this in combination with 240 grit on a radius block to flatten the newly installed frets to a perfect flat (tested with a neck straight edge). Didn't bother using sharpie method. Would buy this again. Helped in saving $300 for a fret job and I can use it for future re fret jobs! String gauge is kind of a gimmick but I would use it if I HAD to.

Cheaper than other name brands without sacrificing quality. Checked against my fret leveling beam and it is dead flat.

Sure you can pay 1/2 the price for other fret rockers on Amazon, but that’s just silly! You can save $20 and end up with uneven frets on your $5,000 guitar. Never cheap out when buying precision tools.

It is one of the best fret rockers on the plannet if is not the only. I bought two pretty famous brand one from the UK and other from the US, they were both made of stainless steel but let me down because they were not straight at all... Although Skyscraper fret rocker is made of aluminium, i found it more accurate than other stainless ones out there. The reason is that it has been milled on all four edges as well as on the two big faces by milling machine. This is what you can not find on any stainless steel fret rocker unless it will cost you a fortune! The Scyscraper is the tool that you can trust to put on your beloved guitar and be sure it tells you the truth... do not hesitate to buy it if you need a dead flat accurate fret rocker... it is worth every penny.
