If I Could Give It 10 Stars I Would.
What can I say? This device has been a game changer in my business. As a construction Superintendent I write a lot of documents and reports. I do inspections, write employee reports and document the process of construction in a very detailed way. I was on the fence about this at first because of the higher price tag and the $124 a year subscription fee that I'm paying but after using it for two months now I am very pleased and very happy with this purchase. I wear it on my wrist like a watch and when I start walking a job site I will push record and it will listen to everything that I say while I'm on the job site it will pick up the smallest details and even this whispers that are said. It will then take that recording and process it and send it through an AI generator and make a complete detailed professional report based on any template that I decide to use. I even made a custom template based on a form that I've been using for years in my business. My customers, vendors and coworkers are quite impressed with the quality of the written documents that I'm sending them these days. I was recently required to send a written document to the government concerning a job site problem. I was not really sure how to write this document in a way that would make the issue easily understood. I simpley dictated all of the details of the problem into my notepin and the Plaud program did the rest. It wrote a very detailed and professional repairt that required very little editing on my part. I am simply amazed by this product and it keeps getting better the more I use it. Every document I have made has required very little editing. It understands most of what I say. It will also understand others in the conversation and identify them by name if you say their name during the conversation. This is the best tool I have ever used in my business..

Be careful
Be careful where you clip it. Customer service is 6 stars. Recommend for recording your day. Task and notes. It can create to do list and bullet points to summarize and is great to use as a manager in the field.

Performed better than expected
This has made my meeting note taking easier than I expected It translates very well, no more sifting through audio to catch up on action items

LIFE CHANGING!!!!
BUY THIS NOW!! I’m blown awayyy! I will be subscribing to the $30 / month unlimited plan. The recording of course is excellent and it catches the most insignificant comments. I’m blown away. Would comment 10 stars if I could. I bought this because I have ADHD—my brain is in 100 different places at any given time - there were times that I felt I may have been missing key things throughout the day. I’ve been using this as an external memory drive for my own brain. The summaries, notes, key takeaways, to do list, and reasoning maps are incredible! Make sure you utilize all the tools. It will be LIFE CHANGING. Lectures, meetings, doctor visits-etc! Life changing!

Brilliant product!
Not super easy to learn how to use but worked amazingly well and created notes I was able to print out and study from! Fantastic for attending lectures and trainings when you feel you can’t take notes or absorb it all fast enough!

Great design and engineering , but lacks RAW audio WAV option.
First the good things. It's very small and elegant in terms of design. Kudos the the designers who made it a very Apple like experience regarding ease of use, magnetic clips , size and ergonomics. I returned it because the NotePin Voice Recorder, unlike the Plaud Note Voice Recorder can not record as a RAW audio file or WAV file. This version can only save as a low bitrate highly compressed file. Which isn't what I wanted. The standby time and power usage is really impressive. It can record all day without worrying about the battery. I would have kept it if I could have RAW audio / WAV. Otherwise really good device.

Amazing concept, but feels early: disconnected notes, weak summaries, high cost
I bought the PLAUD Note and later tried the PLAUD NotePin because I genuinely love the idea: a tiny, always-ready capture device that turns my spoken thoughts into usable notes without friction. In practice, though, the product still feels like it’s in baby stages. I’m writing this review from a place of wanting PLAUD to win — but the current experience is too inconsistent for the price (especially once you factor in the subscription). What I like (the “love” part): The overall concept is excellent: capture life/meetings/ideas instantly and let AI organize it. Hardware form factor is convenient, and it can be a great “always available” recorder. The workflow could become a true productivity multiplier if the software catches up. What disappointed me (core issues): It treats every note like it’s isolated. Real thinking isn’t separated into neat, independent clips. My ideas build over days/weeks. Right now, the app experience feels like “one audio → one summary,” instead of building a connected knowledge base. The summaries + notes aren’t strong enough. They often miss nuance, flatten important details, and don’t reliably extract the “why it matters,” decisions, or next actions. I can do better by exporting the transcript and using ChatGPT myself. Audio quality is underwhelming for the category. For voice-first products, audio quality is everything. My recordings sound lower quality than I expected, which hurts transcription accuracy and usefulness. The subscription value feels off. Paying around $25/month for PLAUD AI (at least in my experience) didn’t consistently unlock “wow.” It sometimes connects ideas across notes, but: the connections aren’t deeply intelligent yet and most importantly: it doesn’t reliably SAVE the AI work (the organization, stitched summaries, and knowledge you build). That’s a deal-breaker. If I refine an output, it should persist like a living document. What PLAUD needs to improve so the product doesn’t fail (my wish list): Persistent AI workspace: when I ask the AI to connect notes, merge themes, build a master summary, or generate a plan, it must save as a durable artifact I can revisit and keep improving. A “second brain” model, not a “note list”: topics/projects/people should be entities. Notes should attach to those entities automatically. Better organization primitives: folders/tags + projects + timelines + “link this note to…” should be fast. Higher audio quality / stronger noise handling: if the hardware capture isn’t excellent, everything downstream suffers. Export-first philosophy: clean exports (txt/doc/markdown), timestamps, speaker labels where possible, and easy batch export. Trust + privacy clarity: give users confidence about where audio/transcripts live, what’s processed locally vs cloud, and retention controls. Who this is for right now: Early adopters who enjoy experimenting and can tolerate rough edges. People who mainly want quick “good enough” capture and don’t need deep knowledge management. Who should wait: Anyone expecting a true “connected intelligence” system. Anyone who needs consistently great summaries and a durable knowledge base. Bottom line: PLAUD is a fantastic idea that currently behaves like a collection of disconnected clips. With persistent AI outputs, better audio, and real second-brain organization, this could be a category-defining product. Today, I’m not there yet — I’m more productive exporting the transcript and using ChatGPT to do the real intelligence work.
