Very strong , cools a room in a few mins on a 85+degree day . you can make the room ice cold lol ..Impressed ... And is super easy to apply , has wheels and not to heavy , can move it around ..not like the one on the window which can be a headache for many reason , this thing is wayyy better than a window ac ..Highly recommend it for people who love a cold room in a very hot day .Very honest company ..even a kid can set it up lol and dont need any tools really , screwdriver is enogh , no need an electric one or nothing like that ..Beautifull usefull acWill sleep like an angel in the hot days , i promiseeeee

What junk! I agree with the other negative reviews.1. It was 80F outside. After 3 hours on high fan setting and despite setting it to 69F , it only dropped the room temperature by 2 degrees, from 77F to 75F. IIT DOES NIOT COOL. The room was only 120 square feet.- i measured the temperature with 2 different digital thermometers (calibrated and consistent with other thermometers).2. I agree with other reviewers. It is loud . In a room as small as 120 square feet, you can hear almost everything. I dont have a decibel meter but it has got to be more loud than the loudness rating specification for the sleep setting.3. Like others say, it does not come with weather stripping. There are 1/4 inch gaps along each side of the window vent adapter allowing air to pass from the room to the outside and vice versa. In other words, it makes a poor seal.4. It should have come with weatherstripping because NOT all window frames are the same or completely flat (to match up against the flat surface frame of the vent adapter). The manufacturer did NOT consider this.-I made a trip to my local hardware store to buy weatherstripping. Thus, it was not an easy setup.5. Yes, I followed the directions in the manual, exactly. I also left it upright for 24 hours before using. I followed the troubleshooting video on the troubleshooting section of the amazon product page. Nothing helped.6. I requested a refund through amazon and it says the seller will contact me within 48 hours to assist or to process a refund. I received no response from the seller. Amazon customer service acknowledged my situation and lack of response from the seller.This is an IMMEDIATE RETURN!!!!**note to prospective buyers: Amazon wont take this item back. I now have to haul this heavy item to a recycling center. You may want to consider this before purchasing, particularly when the seller ghosted me for a return/assistance**

Great item

I purchased this model one year ago, and it worked great in an average size bedroom of a house in the Pacific Northwest - for the first season. I stored it properly (upright, temp controlled space), but when I set it up again this year it wouldn't cool. Everything worked except apparently the compressor. Air Choice customer service was very helpful and replaced the unit under warranty at no cost, including shipping. Once in a while, a product suffers "infant mortality" and fails after limited use. My guess is that this is otherwise a reliable air con.

Update: Good customer service. The seller sent a replacement at no charge. I have decided to return anyway, the replacement as well as the second unit I bought but they are saying I have to pay for shipping. 10,000 BTU: Doesn't work. I set it to cool high fan temperature 62F. We are in a heat wave so it was 100 degrees and high humidity left on for 7 hours in a 400 sq ft room temperature in the room was still 95. Moved it to a smaller room that's not in direct sunlight and it's been on for about 4 hours and it's still 85 degrees in here. Unfortunately I bought an 8K BTU for a different room that's not set up yet. Put an old 8K BTU window unit in the original room and it has cooled the room so the portable AC is the issue. Have not tried to reach the seller yet so I don't know if they will be able to help.

This air conditioner works like a charm. Perfect for the upstairs of our cabin that gets super hot in the summer.

Bought this for my room to keep cool during the night. I’m somebody who likes sleeping with a fan for white noise.This thing does not sound like a fan. It sounds like a machine running. Very inconsistent, loud vulgar noise makes it difficult to fall asleep.Keeps cool but struggles when it gets really hot outside.Also the settings panel on the top that tells you what settings you have on has lights that blind you so you can’t read it.
