Learning curve but has become my standard
Love this! Absolutely a learning curve! It took a few times and trial and lots of mess error to get it right but now that I have the hang of it I’ll never go back to regular eyeliner. The charcoal is very soothing to my eyes! I love that I only actually need to apply it a couple times a week not daily. I sleep with it and wake up and my eyes feel so good. It really does take some time to get the hang of it. I found to tap as much of the powder off against the sides before fully pulling out the applicator is key. Then it’s finding the right pressure once you close your eyes and swipe it along your waterline. I love how it gets my top waterline as well as the bottom all at once. I do it first thing and then clean up any loose powder with oil before I do anything else. (I use Moroccan clay, also 100% natural and ancient, as my eye shadow and blush/bronzer~it’s just the matter of using the right amount in the right way and using it sparingly. Also it’s a lip stain.) The eye powder can be messy but it cleans up easily until you get it right. If it’s messy it just means you didn’t tap it enough to remove loose powder from the applicator. Once in place on the waterline of the eyes it stays in place for days. No wonder they used this and it’s still here and in use for thousands of years. The wood jar and applicator is very nice. It holds and delivers the powder in the perfect amount. It’s also very pretty as a tool and it’s elegant to use. Something about it is so earthy. I can see myself carving one for myself out of stone someday but the wood for now is quite nice. It’s become part of my self care routine and a big upgrade from regular makeup. The powder is going to last a really long time and very easy to get more and refill so great value really.

Don't be intimidated by the texture
Solid color. Non toxic, easy to use when following instructions and online videos. Since it is natural it rolls off if left on when sleeping but does not stain face or linens and does not irritate. If you are concerned about cleanliness of the tool, use after washing your face and/or remove the tool, give gentle wash with mild soap, allow to fully dry then return to liner container.

Rough applicator
The packaging is beautiful and I love the kohl but they need a different applicator. The wood is too rough for my eyes.

Quality kohl eye powder
I like it. I bought khol when I was in Egypt but was concerned about the ingredients. This khol is buttery smooth and I love the design. a die hard pencil liner girl but let’s be real the pencils give a harsh line that need to be blended. This is a fabulous alternative that gives a great Smokey eye. Application is a learning curve but once you master it you will never go back to a pencil liner. My eyes are very sensitive, and I have no issues with this beautiful and cooling eyeliner powder. Love it!This does not irritate the eye. There is some fallout so I would apply before you do your foundation to make cleanup easier. also i added to my Egyptian collection .

Stays on, smudge proof, you can cover top and bottom eye with the liner stick.
Saw this product on Facebook and had to try. It is unbelievable how well it goes on and stays on. I used baby oil to get the product off. The black color was amazing and using the stick provided, you got both top and bottom eye liner. It stays on all day, smudge resistant and it didn't irritate my eyes. I believe this is top quality for the price isn't too bad for what you get. I would recommend to any eye liner user and the different colors can make your eyes pop.

LOVE
LOVE! First time using it so did research on how to properly put it on. I got it and I am never going back to pencil liner again. Great ingredients, did not burn, did not hurt. I have sensitive eyes and this did not hurt at all. Again, as long as you put it on right, it shouldn’t be an issue.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE
I’ve been wanting to try this type of eyeliner for a loooong time and I honestly LOVE IT. I don’t think I’ll ever use pen eyeliners again. This just looks so natural and doesn’t burn your eyes at all. Warning. Be sure to keep blonde hair away from the coal liner, it temporarily discolors it. And be sure to get dressed AFTER putting your eyeliner on so the coal doesn’t get on your clothing

I honestly love this eyeliner, but I won’t lie — there is a learning phase. It took a few tries (and a bit of mess) before I figured out how to use it properly. Once it clicked, though, I completely stopped using regular eyeliner. The charcoal feels incredibly gentle and calming on my eyes, which was a big surprise for me. One of my favorite things is that I don’t need to apply it every day. I’ll put it on, sleep with it, and wake up with my eyes still feeling comfortable and refreshed. It really stays put. The trick I learned is tapping most of the excess powder off the applicator against the inside of the jar before pulling it out. After that, it’s just about using light pressure and smoothly gliding it along the waterline with closed eyes. I love how it lines both the top and bottom waterline at the same time. I usually apply it first, then gently clean up any loose powder with oil before doing the rest of my routine. Yes, it can be messy in the beginning, but it’s easy to clean and gets much better once you learn how much powder to use. If it’s messy, it usually just means there was too much powder on the applicator. Once it’s set on the waterline, it lasts for days. Honestly, it makes sense why this type of eyeliner has been used for thousands of years — it really works. The wooden jar and applicator are beautiful and feel very natural and grounding to use. It’s practical but also elegant, and it’s become a meaningful part of my self-care routine. The powder lasts a very long time, and the fact that it can be refilled easily makes it a great value. Overall, this feels like a real upgrade from modern makeup and something I’ll continue using long-term.

I recently tried the Kemet Natural Egyptian Eyeliner and overall I’m happy with it! It gives a rich, traditional black look that feels kind of cool and authentic — almost like old-school Egyptian kohl.
