The media could not be loaded. My only complaint about this light is that you cannot have bright white light with a colored rim. I guess maybe they did that because it is so bright on white light that it would drown out the color. If that’s the case, they should’ve made the color brighter on the rim. As far as the looks go, my first thought was that it’s a bit clunky, even compared to the first generation. That may just be because of the size. Once I got it up, it does not look bad at all. It looks nice. It’s definitely put together well because I had a mishap and the light fell from the ceiling to the floor and there’s only two minor or a little dings on it. It still works perfectly.The anchor screws that come with that are made for ceilings of normal thickness. I live in a trailer and the ceiling is much thinner. So when the anchor opens as you screw it in, there’s a gap between where it opens and the ceiling so it just sort of falls out about a quarter inch. Then it just falls out all the way because my ceiling sucks. This is not the fault of light. It is my ceiling.The options for colors on this light or endless. I did not count the segments, but there must be 30 or so. Even though the light is much brighter than the first generation, I still wish it was brighter with the colors. The bright white light is acceptable, but the colors need to be brighter.I feel like Govee needs to go back to the drawing board on this one and create a new light that is more aesthetically, pleasing and projects color further out on the ceiling and allows you to have bright white light with bright color rim.Other than that, I give it five stars because it does what Govee says it will do in the Amazon advertisement

These are absolutely fantastic ceiling lights. I bought large ones to get out of my kitchen, dining room, and entryway. I also have some of the smaller ones in each of the bedrooms and the Office, and they work amazingly. I love the app. It’s easy to use. I love that we can do different color light designs that the kids absolutely go nuts for, are straightforward to install, and connect to the app. I’ve had no issues with turning the wall power off, and the light not returning to the previous setting. Works great with Amazon Alexa, it is very very bright! Kids love the different colors

The light is bright and is packed with features and customizable options. Installation is very easy. The colors don't seem very saturated though when compared to a normal govee bulb.

I installed this in my kitchen. Although the lumen count is very high, higher than the similar Aqara, there are some shadow places in the room.Installation was easy except, there is no way to suspend the light while connecting the wires. I used gaffer tape to hold it to a coat hanger from the junction box.Overall it stays connected, clicking the LAN switch makes it stay connected with about 99% reliability.Still tinkering with automation, but generally works well so far.

Love it. We have 2 now, and set them up via Govee's app after testing it with Matter for Google Home. We couldn't get Matter to have the same customization that Govee's app has. Install was a breeze, but you MUST have a neutral wire available, it's not enough to have a hot and ground, it won't work with that. The hardware is solid, but the little wire connections were a little fragile, I broke one trying to secure it to the wire, so switched to the included old-fashioned cap. The light is very bright when cranked all the way up, and dimming it creates some great ambiance, especially the "flood" ring near the base that spreads light across the ceiling.

I have several Govee products, and they have become my go-to for smart lighting, both inside and out. This bright 15-inch ceiling light is precisely what I needed in my office. The Govee ceiling light is simple and easy to install. The wire connector provided with the light was an unexpected plus. It also comes with various screws and wall plugs for different installation options. Since I was replacing an existing fixture, I didn't need the hardware. I used the supplied wire connectors in place of old wire nuts. Mounting the ceiling plate was a breeze. Mounting the light to the plate was easy. Line up the tabs and turn the light on. The installation took about 5 minutes. If you already have Govee products, you know that once your phone's Bluetooth is enabled and you tap the plus sign in the app, the new device will be detected. Add the device, and you are done. I needed a bright light over my desk that could be controlled using triggers, voice, and my phone. The light is bright, and the different effects are added, plus when connected to DreamView and other Govee products in the office. One thing that would be nice is if the outer white rim around the light were offered in different colors, but I suppose you can paint it if you'd like.
