desertcart.com Review Designed for active, outdoor lifestyles--as well as the rigors of harsh urban landscapes--the full-sized Timex T40091 Expedition stainless steel watch adds a stylish yet rugged complement to your everyday wear. It features a large, round silver stainless steel watch case with flattened, brushed bezel that frames a gray dial background with Arabic numerals, inset 24-hour notations, large, luminous stick hands (with seconds hand), and a date display at 3 o'clock. With the Quick Date function, you can set the date on the watch without turning the crown for every 24-hour period. Just pull the stem halfway out, and turn until desired date is reached. It also offers an 8-year battery life, water resistance to 50 meters (165 feet), and a durable strap that mixes leather and nylon. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. Review: Beautiful field watch. The band takes few days to be soften. I have one complain that it arrives me by outer box broken and the watch is open and exposed. But it reaches me without any damage. Review: Only a few days in, but I'm very happy with this watch. The case is substantial, it's easy to read the high contrast dial, and the crystal is glass, not plastic. I even like the machining grooves on the sides of the case. They also engraved the battery size and lug width on the back cover - first time I've seen that. I expect the fancy stitched leather band to wear out fairly fast, but in the meantime it looks great. Timex proves the power of mass production and good QC to make a watch this good at such a low price.

A solid, reliable watch for everyday use. The metal strap is sturdy and comfortable, and the Indiglo backlight is super handy. It’s accurate and durable but has a simple design. Adjusting the strap can be tricky. Great value for those who prefer practicality!

This review mainly serves as a reminder for people who may not look close enough before they place the order. This watch is a good watch and I receive a well-made product. Very comfortbale on wrist. Looks great. Very good value for its price. I am kind of a Timex fan, owning a few Timex watches for quite some years. One was bought in 2001 and just started not working last year. This Expedition's quality is just like all other Timex watches I own: care free, well-built for its price, and long lasting, which I believe this one will also be. The reason I am buying this Expedition is I need a field watch that is big enough. The spec of this Expedition is listed as 40mm case diameter and I thought that should be big enough. Turns out the dial looks quite small when you have it on your wrist. The photo is a comparison between Timex Easy Reader (35mm case diameter) and this Expedition (40mm case diameter). You can see their dial diameter are pretty much the same. After measuring it is around 30mm-31mm. The Arabic numerals on the Expedition actually are smaller than the Easy Reader. Well I guess that's why they name it the Easy Reader. All in all, this Expedition looks and reads time smaller than your typical 40mm watch. Mostly it is becasue the bezel/frame takes out quite some real estate of the 40mm diameter which I didn't pay attention to when I ordered.
