My first time to buy this product from a third party seller, and I'm glad I did just that: first, I got it cheaper; second, the product came to me very fast; last and more importantly, the results are all worth the money I paid: my bigger darker patches have faded to a considerable extent that they become hardly noticeable while the smaller ones are completely gone. Overall, my skin looks smoother, more luminous, firmer, and fairer. I've tried other equally expensive products before, but I found cosmelan to be the most effective for hyperpigmentation.

I don't know why people think this isn't the same as the "real deal." It's clearly not a knock off. I bought it once directly from the manufacturer and once third party through Amazon. It's identical. You absolutely must follow the directions to the letter and do the follow up extensively. People want a quick fix. If you think this is a quick night mask you can wash off in 20 minutes, move on. Plan a full day and several weeks of peeling. It's not major but your face will be a bit irritated. But if you've lived with melasma then it's worth it. You cannot only do 2. You must do 1 and 2.

Kit was obviously delivered to someone else before me, seals broken, lid cracked to Cosmelan 2 which renders it useless because it completely hard and ruined. Try to return it you say?.... can’t bc it’s a chemical. Soooo much money wasted on trusting this seller. As for the authenticity of the product ...it does look to be the real thing. Protection to the consumer is necessary to prevent ruined products screwing over valued customers on unreturnable items. Extremely disappointed and mad.

I have done several peels in the past, and was expecting my skin to peel in the same manner. It did not peel with this product. I did more research on the product, and discovered that it is normal for certain skin types (type IV and V) to not peel. I decided to keep applying the product, and I am seeing positive results. I believe that with increased usage, the results will be even better. I purchased this from Cosmetis, and can verify that it is authentic from Mesoestetic Labs in Barcelona.

There seems to be a lot of product confusion, so just informationally, in case it's helpful to anyone: Mesoestetic makes two levels of Cosmelan: medical grade (CosmelanMD) for sale to licensed medical doctors with prescribing priviledges, like dermatologists, and aesthetic for sale to non-doctor professionals without prescribing priviledges, such as licensed aestheticians. The differences are strength of active ingredients. For example, in the U.S., hydroquinone in concentrations greater than 3% are available by prescription only. Commonly, dermatologists prescribe a 4% cream for daily use against hyperpigmentation. CosmelanMD (which is not this formula for sale here, but the medical grade formula) contains 6% hydroquinone. Note that the description of this product very clearly advises that this formula contains NO hydroquinone. So, while I can't speak to the authenticity of this product from this source, it stands to reason that if you had CosmelanMD applied by your derm in-office before, but notice that this product is not as effective, it may not be because this product is fake. It may only be because you didn't realize that you cannot legally buy the same product that your doctor used. The aesthetic formula contains over the counter concentrations of the active ingredients, lower than medical grade, and eliminates the riskier ones entirely. It also costs much, much less. This info is available on the Mesoestetic website. To get MD, you must provide your medical licence credentials and practice info. So, btw, if someone who is not a doc is trying to sell you MD for take-home application, it is either fake or stolen. This isn't advertised as "MD", though, you may note. Rules and regs regarding oversight of prescription administration vary from state-to-state (for example, in some states only an MD themselves may inject Botox, in others, a licensed nurse may inject Botox as long as an MD owns the practice and accepts liability for potential malpractice). So, be aware, you may have had the medical grade applied in-office before, but you will have to settle for aesthetic grade if you want to do it at home for less.
