A Classic Road Shoe That Never Disappoints Me
I have been wearing different versions of the wave rider for years. This is my favorite shoe for outdoor road running. The best feature of this shoe is the lightweight feel but the support is not compromised. I can't stand anything more than running on a heavy shoe. I have a neutral foot strike so I would take that into consideration when you buy any shoe meant for running. This shoe may not support the needs of people who have a different strike. As far as others complaint the shoe is narrow I did not have this experience. My foot is on the wider side and they do offer this shoe in wide if you truly feel you need it. It is not a tight fight but secure fit.I also was not sure I would like the knit upper but I have really enjoyed it and still feel the shoe offers the secure upper fit I need. I am sure the shoe is perfectly fine for everyday use as well but as someone who strictly wears them for running I highly recommend giving Mizuno and the Wave Rider a try for anyone looking to switch up their running shoes.

Great running shoes for beginners!
I read the reviews so I sized up 1/2 size, but found the wave runners were still too small. Amazon quickly sent out a larger pair, so that was not an issue! So I recommend ordering a full size larger than your shoe size. For example, I wear a size 8M shoe, so I ordered a size 9M! I have worn stability athletic shoes in the past, because I am a pronater, but I did not like the restricted toe off or the tightness around the ankle once I started running. The wave knits are soft and comfortable, the arch support is great, the tread is perfect for running outdoors. And I love the way they look! This is my first experience with Saucony, and so far, so good!

Runs Small / Short laces
First I ordered my size (8). Was way too small and I read the reviews and decided to order both 8 1/2 and 9. I have never worn a nine in any shoe. The 9 fit perfectly ( the 8 1/2 was snug and felt my toes didn't quite have enough room so I used the free return and sent them back) I have a medium/narrow foot and very narrow heels. I used the "heel lock: or "lace lock" technique to help with heel slippage. It worked pretty well with these shoes. Just look up the technique on youtube. The shoe laces were a bit short in my opinion. Only enough for one tie (not a double knot) and my feet are on the narrow side. They are very comfortable and seem to be very stable. I'll update my review later if anything changes.

Not sure they’re true to size
I love these shoes I ordered a wide they fit like a medium. What I love about them is they hug your feet and I’m able to walk long distances without any pain.I already recommended these to a couple of my friendsUpdate I had some minor issues with the shoes I called customer service and they help me out no questions asked they resolve my problem right away. They have amazing customer support. These are the only shoes I will buy from here forward.

Best distance running sneakers I've ever tried
I just love these. Trained and marathoned in them. Great support. They seem to run small, which is noted in a lot of reviews. For reference, my feet were measured by a local running store as size 8.8 and I wear a 10 in these. Sizing up the full size makes a huge difference for me and I use the top holes of the sneakers to lace lock since they are a bit bigger. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing Running Shoe
I have been getting Mizuno Wave Riders for years now for running. These are also great for hiking and my partner even wears Mizunos day to day for work or running errands. I’m super prone to shin splints and these help tremendously. That being said, since the support is great they are more bulky than a Nike or even an ASICS shoe. I don’t mind this but if you really like a lightweight shoe these are somewhat heavy.

Thumbs down👎
I'm an avid recreational walker/runner. I've had Wave Riders forever. Have always loved them. Until this one. Ordered a half size up, as reviews suggested. When I started walking/running, I was having pain in the front of my toes and the ball of my foot. I figured they just needed to be worn in a bit. No. Tonight I got back from a 3.4 mile walk and my feet are killing me. I have never had this problem with Wave Riders. In fact, I could wear an older pair right now with twice the miles on them and not have that problem. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed. The color and style were good and I like the slim profile and lightweight. Overall, a thumbs down.

Classic, worn these for years
I have worn wave riders for years (since about 2007) and the consistency is what I have loved best. These are no different IMO. I had no quality issues and have run almost another 400 miles in them (I run about 25 miles a week on pavement most runs) and they have held up great. Excited to see the price drop so I bought another pair.
