Q: how do you prepare the meat (grind it?) and how long does it take to cook?

You can use ground meat, one piece (pork loin or whole breast) or chopped meat. Try different types of meat. I like mix of ground chicken with pork. I usually simmer for 2 hours in around 180-190 F. They have some recipes on madax website.

Hello Paul,Ham maker with cover is 7 and 7/8 inch (19,5 cm) tall. Ham maker without a cover is 6 5/8 inch ( 17 cm) tall.Diameter inside the ham maker is 4 inch (10 cm). Capacity: 1.5 L. It can hold approx. 2 lb (1 kg) of meat.Box size is 4 and 6/8 inch x 4 and 6/8 inch x 8 inch (12 cm x 12 cm x 20 cm)

Q: I followed the exact recipe to make minced turkey but it turned out to be all crumbly with lots of liquid .. it just fell apart . What went wrong?

You need to mix the meat and spices until they fell tacky and the meat is very sticky. I used the wife's Bread dough mixer machine for excellent results. Or regrind the meat once you have chilled it after mixing it a good as you can by hand.
