>> Directions: BOLT the footrest to the frame. To FOLD chair, UNBOLT the footrest from the frame. << Don't buy this chair unless you intend to NEVER FOLD THIS DUMB THING UP. HINT: you can re-drill a hole on the wide side of the footrest, insert a threaded bolt holder, and add a round dowel, cut to 1-2" length, and use bolt to mount that the footrest, thereby allowing the footrest to SLIDE on the chair frame, like the REAL FOLDING CHAIRS ARE SET UP. JUST FIND ANOTHER CHAIR THAT FOLDS PROPERLY.... what a hassle

Bought this chair for my art booth. Construction is really good. It is a very sturdy chair. Folds down easily. Yes, you do have to take the foot rest loose to fold it down completely. I left my footrest hand tight so it's not a pain. Although I don't use it to get up into the chair with. Please tighten this part if you will be stepping up into the chair. I gave this chair 5 stars because I feel it's a real bargain for what you get. I'm confident that it will last a good while. EXTRA NOTE: It features rubber "footers" on the bottom of the legs. Really helps prevent sliding and keeps it from scaring the floor. Great feature!

This unfortunately arrived broken the leg was snapped in half even though it was packaged really well. I returned it.

Use this for my small business. It’s so nice to be able to have a great height for my clients in order to do hair and makeup. The only thing, it does NOT breakdown to travel in your car. Good value for the money and the clients seem comfortable. Also, holds a higher weight which is important when you have a range of size of clients.
