Well made and a good value
The dummy is very well made, comes from Spain, expertly packaged and delivered on time. I purchased this dummy to strengthen my forearms and to practice simultaneous blocks and strikes against a target. The trunk and arms are not made from one piece of wood but all glue joints appear to be solid and should be strong enough to withstand repeated blows. I would recommend drilling pilot holes to mount the post to the base (if you get this model) as the screws are long and the wood is tough. At half the price or less of other models I would recommend this to any Kung Fu practitioner as a good investment. Add a set of striking pads to save your knuckles and the wood.

Great Dummy but Shipping Flaws
I don't review many items but when you spend this amount of money...AS I was putting it together I noticed the corner had been smashed in and it looked like pressed cardboard. not wood. (see pic) Then I see this crack after I get it all together. its about 1/8 inch and runs from the top of the dummy down past the bottom arm (pic). I was going to glue it but I mean the aim isn't to hit the dummy hard. So I just kind of been living with these 2 flaws that may have occurred during shipping for all I know. Or it may have left the factory like that. I wasn't even going to review the dummy because it serves its purpose but I look at it and its beautiful Until i see the crack or look at the base. I don't like reviewing things but this is an expensive item and maybe if you would spend $200 or $300 more dollars you could get one that is not flawed. maybe one made of stronger wood (or a different shipper) I mean I would love to try some powerful blocks or strikes but since I put it together I am not sure it could take a hard block or a hit without cracking in half. Maybe it was the shipping either way the maker is responsible for hiring a capable shipper. Shop around I think there may be better options for this price or a little more.
