Wow. I know I should take credit for measuring properly but the credit goes out to this company for following up before building my order. They wanted to make sure all was correct. They addressed a question I had. They shipped and delivered the skylight blinds sooner than expected. Instructions were a breeze! Item arrived cut exactly to the dimensions requested, including the .1" deduction I approved to be done for play room for installation. I'm impressed!The only con, and it isn't a loss in rating, is that there was a tiny few tiny bits of aluminum from the cutting process that could have been easily removed with an air blast after cutting. Not a show stopper at all.In the end, I am 100% satisfied with the purchase, delivery, and ease to assemble and install. Only time will tell how they hold up. So far, I am quite confident. If anything goes wrong, I'll update this review if I find it is reasonable to share.Thank you!

Seller is very precise with making the shade to your measurements, and will provide an .1" adjustment for both width and length measurements should you choose (.1" shorter than your given measurements). This shade is a bit tough to assemble; seller could give more detailed instructions, especially on how to adjust the tension, and how to assemble the last corner.We ordered two types of shades that arrived in two shipments, which caused confusion as seller only provided one tracking number. My account stated the order was fulfilled after arrival of the first shipment; I had to write the seller to get clarification. Also, another suggestion to seller for improvement is to ship each shade separately in its own box. Mixing the two shades in two separate boxes that arrived on separate days without any communication caused much headache attempting to figure out what piece belongs to what shade.

Got these for 2 skylights that even with double tint was causing the room to heat up too much and I was tired of the ac running non stop. Once I entered the measurements the price did go up more than I expected but these have been worth every penny. They arrived ahead of time which was a bonus. Putting the 2 frames together was easy and took less than half an hour, and then another 10min to install without assistance. They look great and block out the light and heat. I opted for the 1/8 subtraction for wiggle room which was needed for the length, but left a small gap width wise(see Pic). I was aware that was a possible outcome and once I put a pice of weather strip there you'll never know. One of the best Amazon purchases I've made in a while.

These blinds are definitely black-out and work great. They are easily assembled and look very nice. For skylight installation make sure to observe the dimensions because my skylights were smaller than the opening at the bottom which means the drywall box slopes together slightly. Since these blinds fit inside the opening I had to trim the surrounding drywall.

Very happy with the quality of this skylight shade and the very precise cutting job to size for my specific skylight dimensions. So, if you buy one, measure more than once and factor in any deviation from square because they will accurately produce it based on dimensions and allowances you requested.

Overall, I am pleased with these window shades so far. The customization process when ordering was fairly straightforward, and the company sent me a message to double-check/confirm my measurements before starting to fulfill my order. When I received the item, it came in two separate packages a few days apart, and everything was nicely wrapped and padded in thin foam and bubble wrap. Unfortunately, my shipment was missing the mounting screws, but I should be getting some sent out to me soon. Even though I selected "No I don't need default deductions" in the customization form, they still did make the frame 1/16" smaller than my requested dimensions in both width and height, so I don't know why they put that option in the form if they were just going to do it anyways. The setup/installation is really easy, and it just took me a little bit of messing around with the adjustment screws to get the shades to sit straight and slide smoothly. The adjustment screws in the four corners are made of very cheap plastic though, so you have to be very careful and gentle when making adjustments to ensure you don't strip the screw, but luckily they do provide 3 replacement adjustment screws. I don't love the look and feel of the handles - I really like the inset / "invisible/hidden" handle I've seen on some other window shades like these, but we went with these since they offered the dual shades feature. One other slight downside - I purchased another window shade like this one from another company (that one was only light filtering or blackout, they didn't offer the dual shade option), but that window shade from the other company came with a thin adhesive foam strip that could be used between the frame of the shades and the window opening to ensure a snug fit/installation as well as block out any light that could get through around the frame - this company didn't provide that with the shades, so I decided to purchase other adhesive foam strips to use - not a deal breaker, but something I wish had been included. A minor aesthetic issue is that the corner covers aren't the same color as the frame. The shades do look quite nice, and we really like having the feature of having both light-filtering white shades and blackout white shades. The shades themselves do seem somewhat fragile/delicate, so I hope they hold up over time. This product seemed a little overpriced to me, but as long as they continue to look nice and function properly for a long time, I will be happy with this purchase!

Totally thrilled with the blinds. We took care in measuring according to seller directions and the blinds fit absolutely perfectly. Very easy install and the light blocking for the skylight is very beneficial in keeping the heat that comes in. Love it!
