Great tasting old fashioned black licorice and the cine is almost completely solid which works because the are not justthe right amount soft! Try them!

DELICIOUS!!!!!! very flavorful very cinnamony not very hot, but still very delicious!!. I continuously buy the red cinnamon and the black licorice. I do like that It is a bit waxy.🤎

Big into black licorice. This one is good. I find these twists about the right size. They are chewy without being too hard or mushy. Taste is pleasently light to medium. Bought extras already and plan to get more.

I was excited for these. They arrived fresh and sexy-looking, unlike some of the other 1-star reviews here who apparently got hard waxy ones. But when I opened and smelled them, something hit me the wrong way. A distinct, lukewarm stink special to off-brand licorice. I cannot describe the exact quality except to say you know it when you smell it, and you know the candy you are about to eat is not going to taste great. Fine, okay, maybe it's a green eggs and ham situation I thought, so I pulled one out and took a bite. Spent $10 on the damn things after all. And but yeah, there it was, that same weirdly warm bad smell, but now as a nauseous, mouth-coating, throat-haunting taste. I could practically taste it in my ears. It was not stomach-turning, but only because I discarded the remainder of the licorice twist I'd bitten into. Couldn't do it. Sorry. This review is not meant to be a dig at Happy Bites, nor is it meant to invalidate all the people who love these things. Heck yes, I say to you 5-star reviewers, I am very happy you love this candy I too wanted to love. Envious, even. Idk why I hate it so badly, but I most definitely do, and I wanted to communicate to anyone else who has this same deep aversion to whatever it is that's wrong with these things to us--that warm, sticky, "uh-oh" flavor I cannot otherwise put my finger on--that these are a must-not-eat kind of candy for us. Sorry again to the confectioners who just want to sell their treats. I bear you no ill will. If you're thinking of buying these and you read this review and you have no idea what I'm going on about, you're probably safe to buy these and enjoy them. I admit I've got some hang ups.
