Although it says magnetic, I have not found any magnets strong enough to stay on.

Can you mount the marker holder the other way so the board is tall instead of wide? Also, how is the glare/reflection?

The marker holder has a sticky back, so it can go anywhere you want. On the white dry-erase board, the glare isn't an issue for me, but that will depend on the lighting in your location.
